Horror movies anyone?

Champagne, sweetie, I'm SO glad you liked it! Wasn't it the shiat?

You will like Inside if you liked High Tension. Same extreme blood and guts. I was telling Tracey that there is one part in particular(where the female killer is watching her victim sleeping) that actually made me turn my head and quick! There wasn't a chance I was going to watch it! That's all I'm going to say 'bout that

Watch it and lemme know what you think

For any other gorehounds out there, Borderland is definitely a must see. I watched it the other night, and loved it. In my top 10 now for gore. It's one of the horrorfest movies, and the best IMO.

I love horrorfest movies so thanks! Don't know if you've seen the above 2 movies(High Tension, Inside)but they're definately worth a peek. High Tension is probably a tad gorier because of the deliberate close-ups of the killings, not to mention the blood

Please.. American horror movies are not at all 'horror

If you really like horror movies.. find movies by Takashi Miike. I dare you to watch his stuff.

You can read about him here

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takashi_Miike

his most famous movie is One Missed call" which I watched and I hate horror movies.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Missed_Call_(2004_film)

His stuff is an.. hmmm.. an acquired taste.

But they are a lot more interesting that the typical white horror movie: "Boy meets girl, boy terrorized girl, boy kills everyone except one person" lol.

Please tell me you are NOT saying One Missed Call was horrific :booty"

I will however read up on Takashi because I'm assuming his work is japanese horror? Correct me if I'm wrong

His work is in Japanese but there are translations... you can even watch it in Mandarin

His stuff will scare the crap out of you. Some of it is WAAAAY beyond horror, really sick stuff.

But One missed call is a good start.

I just watched one the other day. I don't remember the name, but it totally creeped me out. It was the one where the father and son meet women, and the chick the dad likes is crazy as a bedbug. The wire thing sent chills down my spine.

There are some of his movies that have dead fetus, etc. Really really sick stuff.

The one thing about Miike is that he always kills someone in a really horribly funny way.

I'm not sure if you can find trailors of his. IMDB might have them. It's hard to find a trailer that has subtitles

I love, love, love the Asian extreme horror movies. A little hard to find sometimes but so worth watching. I have quite a few. Always looking to add more though. My favorite is cut... so good. I actually really like subtitled movies. Not a horror movie but a really good subtitled movie is kung fu hustle.. its a comedy and its hilarious.

Not Stephens' Best. He has a lot of really funny movies that are MUCH better.

Same here. It'd be nice to find them @ Blockbuster. Wal-Mart is kinda uptight about movies of this sort. I remember how they quit selling American Pie because of the apple pie scene.

I just read where One Missed Call american style is nowhere near the japanese version. I'm going to have to find me some authentic japanese horror films!

I can tell you a lot of very good Asian movies that might be on Blockbuster.

You can get all of it on Ebay, it's usually pretty cheap. I know a couple of Ebay dealers who sell movies. I'll have to look up their name. You are buying from HK but I've never had an issue.

Stephen Chow's most famous is "God of Cookery" and probably will be available. "shaolin soccer" is another of his movies. I really liked "A Chinese Odyssey" which was a bit more serious and better acting. Most of his stuff is slapstick, gung fu comedy.

A great movie is "infernal Affairs" NO NOT THE STUPID BAD HOLLYWOOD REMAKE! lol. I know it won scorsey an Oscar but that was a "make up oscar" that he just got because of pressure that he's never won. If you watch the original HK one, you will realize how HORRIBLE the US version is.

"Infernal Affairs" from HK and stars Andy Lau and Tony Leung (the skinny one! lol, there are two Tony Leungs in HK movies). Great movie. IA 2 and 3 suck. No easier way to put it. lol.

"A Chinese Ghost Story" story with Leslie Chueng is a very beautiful haunting story. It's not a horror story, (sorry Completelyme! lol).

Leslie, who was called "Gor Gor" (or "brother brother" an affectionate term for gay in China) was a beautiful actor and the first openly gay actor in HK. Unfortunately, his personal demons got the best of him and he committed suicide on April 1.

Farewell My Concubine" was his most famous and one of his most beautiful performances. It won the Golden Palm award at Caanes.

"Days of being wild" is a great movie. Think of it as American Graffiti" in HK. There are a ton of stars who went on to become very, VERY famous. Leslie Chueng, Andy Lau, Tony Lueng nad a bunch of female actresses.

And of course.. the big man. Chow yun fat. Men want to be like him, women just want him. lol. "A better tomorrow" "God of Gamblers" and my favorite "The Killer"

I'm not a fan of Jackie Chan. Don't even ask me about that talentless jerk. lol.

There are also some good Korean movies I know. "Friend" "My girlfirend the gangster" and there is one about the Korean war "Taegukgi."

Probably one of the most powerful movies I've ever seen: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taegukgi_(film)

Every movie I've listed is available with subtitles. I DO recommend if you ever buy aNY Asian movie, never by one that is repackaged by US distributors. Most movies are long and are often brutally cut by US distributors.

I guess this is a horror movie. But is anyone going to watch that movie teeth? I saw it while entering dvd sweeps.
Its about a girl that has teeth in her ""WHO HA"" so wierd.

Thanks so much for all the info. I learned my lesson about the repackaged deal. :nono: I watched dumplings and cut on sundance and wanted to buy them and saw the 3 extremes on dvd.. well, what a waste of money that was. They cut the movies all to hell. Im more careful now when I buy them. I found alot of them at a gamer store. they are used but I dont care. Im going to go there this weekend and see if I can find any that you listed.

Its sooooo stupid. you wouldnt like it. trust me

lol you actually watched it. I did a search on it. I didn't think that was real. But sopposidly there are a few women that were born like that. That is so wierd.
