Subway Coupons are NOT Being Accepted

I went into the place to get the free veggie chips, and the two foreign guys looked over the coupon and wouldn't take it. They also never saw it before. Funnier even, there was an ad for the sweepstakes on the countertop.

I dont know It does say in the email to print out the entire thing and take it. But from the sound of it I dont think it would have mattered to the employees you dealt with.

LOL! I won the earth chips today, saw that it was a coupon that came to my email, and deleted it. The 2 Subways we have are franchise and I would bet the house they won't take it. Hell, they don't even recognize the 8-$5 footlongs...only 4 of them. And I don't care for earth chips.

In my experience, foreigners around these parts always get it wrong. And not always on accident. We had a gas station bought out by foreigners who could barely work a cash register let alone speak english. They always eyed and openly disrespected the women and were assholes to the men. They got shut down less than 6 months and it wasn't a surprise. They were fraudulent on taxes.

Many of us had relatives who came here as immigrants. Few of whom spoke english when they got here. I doubt you'd call your ancestors unintelligent.

No, only people who pursue forum fights are called "unintelligent" by me.

Good luck with the contest, and getting your own chips.

Alright folks. No fighting. I don't think anyone is calling anyone unintelligent. Sometimes the language barrier is difficult for some. Lots of immigrants come here just to have a better life and are doing the best they can.

lets Get back on topic. Has anyone else had a problem with the coupons?

No problems here...I can't even play the stinkin' game for some reason....grrrrrrr :cussing:

Thanks for the heads up. We can't use printed coupons anywhere around here so I sent the email to my brother in CA. Hopefully he can use the coupon.

Ok, I've got nuthin' better to do... :laughing:I took the infamous gum coupons to the "foreigner" owned convenience store. THEY looked at me like I had landed from Mars & they also had a sign advertising the sweep. Then, I took it to the "American" owned store. They....did the SAME thing! Funny thing, I understood the screw you tone in each accent...

I'm not persuing a fight. Just standing up for what I believe in, that all immigrants should be treated with respect and the decency that you would give to any other human being.

Back on the subject of chips...

I won another bag and deleted that email too. Even though I do not like the chips I feel it would have been easier for everyone if they had just snail mailed you the free coupon. It seems that regardless of ethnicity, Subway employees are pretty much ignorant to their own contest which may or may not be their fault. I would assume that the employees would be well aware of the sweep and to be expecting those "free chips" coupons.

They could have just mailed postcards like the KFC sandwich sweep. I got more than a dozen of those, and had no problem using them. I don't think they're serious about giving away the chips.

I posted in the thread about the contest in the Gripe how to play it.

It sucks the way I idd it but it does work.

I might try upgraded to Java 10....

This happen to me with the texaco gum. I had won a bunch of gum. The first time I went there to get a pack of gum. It was a foreign guy there. Had no idea what I was talking about. Wouldn't give it to me for free. So I walked out. Then I saw there was a sign on the door about the promotion. So the store did know about it. But the workers did not.

I called customer service. And they told me some of the stores didn't know about it yet. I decided just to delete the emails and not get the gum. To much of a hassle.

I had the same experience with another contest - Johnny Rocket. It was a $25.00 GC. I went to the local Mall and tried to use it at a Johnny Rocket "Express" owned by a franchisee. They refused to honor it. It seems that franchisees have the right not to participate in a contest if they choose not to. It was taken without any problem at a regular sit-down Johnny Rocket, which, I presume, is company- owned. In defense of the foreign workers, it is the problem of the franchisee.

So when a store won’t honor your ‘prize’ do you write to the company and complain?
I think I would do that . . . . . just in case they didn’t know . . . just in case they might care.
