That's awesome! Congrats! Don't be afraid to ask the sponsor if you can extend one oyur own dime. If they're paying for three nights, you could pay for another two out of pocket and ask them to fly you in and out according to those dates. I do it for most of my trip sweeps wins, because lets face it, every time you leave the house, even if a portion of it is free, there is a cost. So I always make it worth the while. Enjoy Costa Rica!

Congrats! I recently won a trip to Hawaii, but Costa Rica is on my bucket list. By all means, see if you can extend the trip on your dime (unless there’s cash allocated for accommodations and you can possibly stay somewhere cheaper). The airfare should be the same whether it’s 3 days or a week. Just keep in mind that the seasons are reversed south of the equator!
