Today received an e-mail notice that I won a Family Pizza Night Prize Pack... which includes a $500 prepaid card and various Hormel products. This is the biggest win for me in at least a year. Also won $100 on Powerball this week... so hopefully I'm on a streak. lol

I seem to win less these days than years ago. I assume more people are entering now + social media participation + referrals (and IMO more cheating opportunities with multiple created s-media accounts/entries per person). I'm not sure I'd take up sweeping if I were starting today, but it's well...

Some say "You won!", "prize", etc. but I've found a lot (like 50%+) is just the name of the sponsor promotion in the subject line (like in heathie's examples) - so I tend to at least check that line & the sender for everything and click things that are in the ballpark.

In my own personal circumstances, I have a prize I never got a tax document for and plan to list the ARV as "Other Income" (including Schedule 1) on a standard 1040 (I don't believe the 1040EZ forms have that section). In your personal circumstances, you may or may not wish to speak to a tax...

I don't know. More apt to have missed a sponsor that called & left no message. I'm not likely to pick up the phone w/ unknown numbers. I've noticed a good % of winning e-mails I get just have the name of the promotion in the subject line & nothing else, so it pays to read carefully sometimes.

That is my understanding & what I do as well, but I last looked into it a long time ago.
