You should also do something else besides sweeping in your spare time, so you're not focused and obsessed with winning. I have managed to get lucky and win smaller contests on Facebook for movie tickets and anime con tickets. ^^

@Amyshulk: Thank you for letting me know! I'm neither a dependent or on government assistance at the moment, but have no other source of income, so I wasn't really sure about sweepstakes taxes.

I'm not, and have never been employed. Would I still file a tax form for a prize I won? Internet research has given me some very mixed responses so I'm pretty confused about this.
