I have a question! Is a " 3½” x 5” properly stamped postcard" a regular index card with a stamp on it or am I supposed to buy special cards from the post office. This is for a mail-in code request.
Thank you,
D.S.

If you have card stock, you can make your own, or I used to buy 3-1/2 inches x 5 inches index cards & they work just fine - buying prestamped is for ease, but watch you get the right ones since there are 2 sizes:

USPS - Mail Characteristics - Sizes for Postcards

to qualify for mailing at the First-Class Mail postcard price, it must be:

Rectangular
At least 3-1/2 inches high x 5 inches long x 0.007 inch thick
No more than 4-1/4 inches high x 6 inches long x 0.016 inches thick
