a win--hopefully?

Just got home from the store and found a box on my doorstep from the Q and S daily contest I won months ago---a handpainted flower pot (its big and hot pink  I am also the worst "flower and plant grower" EVER, so this lovely pot may end up being something I use to "put stuff in")
Also, on my door, there was a note from USPS saying I missed the delivery of a certified letter from Archway and that I can pick it up tomorrow at the Post Office....
I know how this works---we get notices like this and get all excited and it turns out to be something less than what we built up in our minds, so Im TRYING not to get worked up, but I am sooooooooo curious to know what it is....anybody else get one today or recently from Archway? Any ideas?

I ll let you know the outcome tomorrow---maybe its an affy for that million Ive been waiting for!!!

Good luck today all!!

:sunny: Good Luck on that flower pot prize! Congratulations!
If it's a certified letter it's bound to be something great. Will be anxiously waiting to see your next post!

Congratulations on your win.
Will keep my fingers crossed
for the Archway news.

I have definitely had the "let down" of a certified letter that you were talking about. I got something from Verizon Home something and it was a certified letter that I had to pick up. It was a tshirt in the shape of a house. It's a fabulous t-shirt, no doubt, and I wear it a lot to work out, but I was envisioning lots and lots of cash.... ANd Verizon--I am not knocking the prize--like I said, I love it, but I am not sure it warranted a certified letter...

I do hope yours is the big million! I can't wait to find out.

Re: a win--hopefully? (updated)

Okay, for those of you who are following this, take it easy---my husband doesnt get to retire---yet
 The letter turned out to be my sons win from Willy Wonka that I had forgotten about...it was supposed to be a $100 gc to Sports Authority, but they substituted it for a $100 check instead--I love when they do that, that way you arent tied to a specific store!

So, it was good news and at least I didnt make the trip to the Post Office for a tshirt or something!!! :nono:
Good luck today everyone, hope the mail brings all of you a nice surprise!

good win!!!

don't spend it all on Chocolate Sweepstakes & Giveaways!

PS: the reason they send things certified is that the sponsor considers the value to be enough to warrant the extra expense in mailing to avoid getting "I didn't receive my prize" complaints. If the sponsor uses FedEx or UPS it is because they electronically track everything they deliver, unlike USPS. So if they say it was delivered tough luck if you didn't get it.
