Affy for $5? really?

I got an affidavit that has to be filled out and notorized (they suggest sending back certified or signature required mail) from Diageo "Mix It Up And Win Game &
Sweepstakes"
Seriously!!! The gas to go to the bank and the post office. plus postage is more than the prize. That's one way not to have to fulfill your promotions.
they also suggest making copies of everything, more expense. Shredder time.
 
i got the same thing too for $4 glasses. i just went on their facebook and told them i won't be sending it back for such a small prize. they replied back that they will send them out anyhow. apparently a lot of people complained about that and they also were told they will get the prize without sending in the affy.
 
I won a movie from SheKnows and they wanted a copy of my drivers license....I passed on the movie. I won $10,000 in cash from Proximo and they did not need my DL. I also won $13,000 in cash and prizes from Sears and they did not require a DL either. Both required an affy of course.
 
I just went to the website (keep all my winning E-mail confirmations till I get the prize). They are getting slammed. Looks like they are sending out some of the smalled prizes without affies. I will see what their response is to my post.
 
I won a twitter contest from CMT, they called me for my license #, then they sent an email, with an affy to send back ( fortunately via email ) guess what I won!!! A calendar, and not even a full size one. Had I known, I wouldn't have taken the time. Very disappointing, oh well, next time ?

But, unless you ask, you don't know if they only had one type of form and only those who won prizes worth $600 or more really needed to get the form notarized.

I guess the people doing the fulfillment just assume? :scratch:

so i take it we dont have to have afidavits unless we won the bigger prizes so thats good. so who won gltya
