air went out

central air froze up or something,so we had to open a window and put a box fan in,well now my daughter's cat is gone :cry: (barbie) i don't know if she just jumped out or fell out trying to lay in the window,and i'm not having any high hopes of her coming back,i hope she does though,my daughter just cries and say's she wants her to come home,i miss her as well,we had her for 4 years,since she was a kitten..i will keep looking and yelling for her...hopefully i can come back on here and tell you all i have found my little barbie girl
 
hope you find her usually if they have been in a home that long they don't venture very far @ first
 
Sorry the kitty got out. Just to be safe, file a report with the local shelters and bring them a picture.

Cats that get out for the first time usually stay really close to home. I had a cat that was an outdoor cat (her choice not mine) all her life. We moved to a new town and I had kept her inside. She was 16 at the time of the move. Well, one night, she must have sneaked out. I looked all over the house for her. Couldn't find her. The next morning, one of my husbands friends had stopped by and he saw her walking up the neighbors lawn towards our house. I was so relieved. They really do have a great sense of smell and location.

I hope she is home, safe and sound in your daughters arms really soon. Put some of her favorite food out and sit outside for a while.
 
sorry about your air and your cat. We had that problem not too long ago and the unit was leaking freon. hopefully ya can get it fixed. to hot to not have air. and the cat. she will show up. wolfie gave good advice. dont worry to much and just keep looking. I hope ya let us know real soon that she showed up.
 
How terrible! We have one that recently ran away ~ we had given away her littermate and she never did come back, but we have had several that have ran away and came back literally months after they left. Don't give up hope yet!!!
