I got an e mail that I won a big green egg 15 inch grill worth $550 buuuutttt when I went to claim it it says I can't because it's not valid in CA :( Sucks
 
That's a terrible disappointment. Didn't they say it wasn't good in CA when you entered? Usually, it's on the description or a dropdown when you enter. I did that one time...I didn't notice that it said no CA on the description and I kept entering the whole time. That's not as bad as winning something you can't have...a real bummer...sorry.
 
I'm so dumb, I entered and won a gift card to a market in another state not realizing that I'd have to go there to use it! DUH! : ) Hope you have another good win soon to make you feel better.

I received an email yesterday that I won the Big Green Egg Medium (ARV 821.79), I've been playing the one from Savemart and I'm in California. that sucks! those look pretty cool too. ive seen quite a few sweeps that are only good in us, but then have a country dop-down with long list of countries ?????

Just wanted to help Jessica feel better...I did the exact same thing. I was so exited to win too.

Ok, I admit I only skimmed the rules but it started off saying "THE FOLLOWING SWEEPSTAKES IS INTENDED FOR PLAY IN THE UNITED STATES ONLY" and then I did see the states listed but just assumed it was listing all of them and skimmed right along. Wasn't until I got the redemption email and tried to redeem that I didn't see CA and learned that it's even more depressing to win and not be able to redeem than to never win lol.
