Bad Virus Attack this morning

I was sweeping early this morning and was attacked by a Banker Trojan Virus. It has completed infected all of my malicious software removal tools and fills my screen with garbage is I leave the pc on for a few minutes. My son is an IT professional and has been working on it for a few hours. He is guessing we are going to have to wipe the hard drive and reinstall the operating system. I am 90% sure I got it from one of the sweeps on the IAMRogue sweep site that is list in the 24 hour daily sweeps section. I have been entering their sweeps for a while now but this morning one of them froze up my computer for a few minutes and a few minutes later I had the virus.

Just a heads up for everyone. I do have a paid for anti-virus on my pc but it didn't stop this one. I also use malwarebytes and the virus has disabled it.
 
I had that same thing happen to me a couple of weeks ago. It disarmed my virus protection. It was a really bad virus. And it happens in a matter of seconds. I couldn't access anything. I think it came from sweeps or facebook. I no longer do applications on facebook, whether they be contests or whatever.
 
Google is irate with China and the other day I saw news where there were 5,000 companies hacked in 2008 and we just found the Trojan running amongst the US Companies this month. ARGHHH so far behind so paying for security is a joke. If the major companies cannot keep them out, how can we? ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH! I love to shop online but now I am scared. :wave: Hi Thumbelina :wave:

I saw that in the news too and they cannot figure out whose doing it in China, looks like it was coming from some university.

I just got rid of a nasty virus, I think. I paid for Norton for a long time and it is a joke, the only thing I can think of is to be extremely careful what we click on and hope the sweeps sites are not infected.

My church set the virus protection on my computer and so far so good, I accidentally clicked on something that I should not have and that is why I got the last virus.

I am very uncomfortable also with shopping and banking online now.
