Banned for too many "likes"

I worked on Facebook sweeps for about 1-2 hours yesterday. I then received a notice from Facebook that I was being "spammy" and was banned from using the "like" button for 30 days! I've emailed them at different email addresses, but I keep getting an auto response stating they don't usually respond to emails. I read this also happened to someone when they liked a bunch of happy birthday posts he'd received. This just seems ridiculous. As you know, many contests cannot be entered without liking a page and you can earn extra entries by liking too. I only use my FB for entering contests, so I'm certainly not spamming anyone.

Has anyone else had this happen, and how did you resolve it? I also attached the message I received.

Yes, others have had this happen. See http://www.sweepsadvantage.com/forum/questions-answers/54511-facebook-temp-lockout.html I was allowed to continue entering the sites I already liked during the 30-day ban I had. After that, I was just really careful. I have heard someone wrote an email to the right person at FB and got the ban lifted, but I have no clue who that was. Make sure you have friends and a picture on your FB account. I think this helps. Good luck and if you get a response from FB let us know :)

I was horrified when my first facebook account was temporarily banned. Then, yet another facebook account was temporarily banned. I don't do anything on fb but enter contests. The third account I created is okay as of now, but as a person who does sweeps everyday it's impossible to function without facebook! Since then facebook did email me back that I posted on my own timeline, stupidly, i clicked and it said banned again...but haha jokes on them as it didnt work. Since then I don't enter blog contests. :( which didn't cause it but i guess bogs have all those likes- pages worth...Anyone who gets their account banned knows its weird rule and not fair. And, I surely wasnt going to take a picture of a driver's lisence, and i dont have a cell #. well, anyways, right now still have fb.whew!

One thing to check on Facebook is to make sure you do not have any likes you no longer need. Example a like for a sweepstakes that is over.

You're nobody 'til FaceBook bans you! lol.... But seriously, now I always go SLOW on FaceBook-not too many "likes" at once-act like a regular user and not a sweepstakes machine! I break up the times I enter FB sweeps-spread out over my sweeping sessions. When you go super fast and like lots of posts and pages (like some of these blog sweeps require) FB analytics thinks you are a bot and will block you. If you want to fly beyond the sound barrier, check out Twitter! :p Good Luck to all.

I'm sorry this has happened to other people, but it really does make me feel better! LOL Thanks, everyone.

You would think the FB would be set up to send a warning to let you know you are doing something wrong before banning.
