Bogus Phone Bill Charges

Ok, my husband pays the phone bill every month and I never even look at it. Today I looked at it and I seen 2 separate charges from 2 different companies. I called Verizon and I asked what are the charges and she directed me to call ESBI. So I called and these people told me that I signed up for it months and months ago by entering online. They were charging me $14.95 a month. I called the other one, Solo Communication and they told me the same. They have charged me $12.95 since January and I never knew it. There has been charges to my phone bill for months now because I obviously clicked something in one of the sweeps. So everyone, you may want to check you phone bills!!! I don't know if I'm more upset about the fact that I was charged or that my hubby never looked at the bill and realized it!!!! :scratch:
 
Me too!! I am sorry to read this happened to you but I am glad I'm not the only one! I have been racking my brain trying to figure out how this happened because I really try and double check before entering any contest or even going to any site. I contacted the same company and my phone company and they said I will not be charged. ESBI company will reimburse my phone carrier for the charges ( 2 months ). I also was instructed to contact FCC and my State Attorney General's Office to keep a record about these companies in case there was any nefarious activities going on. I still wish I knew how this happened but I just decided to give it to God or the Universe, whatever! :scratch:
 
Yeah, I contacted them by phone and they both said they would reimburse me. One is back to Jan and the other back to May. I try to watch what I do when I enter anything but they got me good! Well, I'm not glad to see that others have been effected but I'm glad to see that you all are replying with having the same problem, cuz now that I pointed out to hubby, he wants to revoke my internet....lolol :laughing: Thanks everyone!
