Branson trip secondary winner from drawing?

This was not a win... duh. Atleast, I don't THINK so? However, I am just wondering if anyone else has received this same type of phone call? Apparently I entered a sweepstakes to win a trip to Branson-- I sorta remember it, but no details. Anyway, so they callled and said that I did not win but they drew 35 names and I won 80% of a package, giving details of how it would just be $139 for me to pay THAT DAY to get this prepaid trip package that I could use within 2 years. I did not take this...just didn't want to. I'm new to sweeping, so, just wondering if this sort of stuff happens a lot?

I don't enter for trips, but they usually have pretty loose privacy policies, so it's possible they shared your info.

As a sweeper, you learn to look at the entry page, the rules, and their privacy policy.
 
I have had several of these sales calls over the years but I don't ever give financial info over the phone to someone that calls me. That's just asking for trouble.
 
I got the same call.They basically wanted me to purchase a discounted vacation package over the phone!They said you entered to win a trip to Branson, but they haven't done the drawing yet.I asked them to send me something in the mail that I could look over and they said I had to pay for the trip first! I said I'll hold my breath and wait for the drawing and hung up!

Yeah!! Exactly?!? I'm new to sweeping, but this was my first phone call like that! Sure there will be many more, lol. I did not take it either but had to wait forevr to understand what it was even about! Boo Branson and your messy sweeps, lol.
 
Yup I got that call as well a few months ago. It was a good deal so I told them I would check with my friend to see if she wanted to go in on it, and they insisted on putting her on a 3 way call. I said no I would call her myself, I would call them back if we decided to go, and the lady said to bad, I couldn't do that and hung up. Geesh.
