I got a call from Anheuser-Busch informing me that I won a soft-sided cooler. It arrived a few days ago. Since we already have a large, hard cooler, I first offered it to my daughters, who both declined. However, Saturday night was our Sunday School's Christmas party, and Ann wanted to take a casserole she cooked at home. Muttering something about needing a heated casserole dish, I thought of the hot bags that pizza delivery uses, and grabbed the soft cooler. With a towel wrapped around the dish, it fit perfectly inside. The appetizers Ann made even fit on top of the dish.
I zipped up the cooler and we headed across town to the event. I had to stop by work, so it was almost two hours from oven to host's house. The food was still incredibly hot! So much that Ann decided against reheating it in the host's oven. Plus, everyone in our Sunday School class got a big laugh out of us walking in with a bright red cooler with a Budweiser logo on it! (Although I think a few were disappointed there was no beer inside.)
Now we have a way to transport hot and cold things in separate "coolers".
