cashing a check out question

i was wondering if the bank will allow you to cash out a check worth 2000 dollars without having you to deposit any money. I have a bank account its pretty low now lol but i never had to cash out a check this large so i was wondering do they make you deposit some of the money or will they give it all to you right then and there. i have a lot of plans with the money when it comes.

also do the sponsors sent you the 1099 form first before they send the check or afterwards b/c my sponsor processed my check on monday and she has bosses in new york who will issue the check i was just wondering if they give you the tax form or the check first or both together,

usually banks will not cash out a check for more than what you have in your account, they usually want the check to clear before any funds more than what you have now in the account to be cashed. 1099 are usually sent out toward the end of the year usually before feb 1

is it possible to go to the bank where the check is issued out at and they cash it for you instead of your bank. or can u sign it over to your spouse if he has over that amount of money in his account?

It is possible but you have to see what the banks policy is about signing over a check. And it is possible to cash the check out at the bank where it was issued @ because they can check the status of the check and cash it.

ok thank you. yeah that makes alot of sense if its issued at a certain bank they will be able to tell and that way i wont have to pay any fees.
