Dh was sweet today

We had to go to another town and I seen a small charm bracelet at the gas station. Granted it didn't cost much at all I knew we didn't really have the extra to spare on something so petty as a piece of jewelry. He bought it for me anyways! It has a small silver heart, small silver key and a star. Inside of the star is a gem with a 4 leaf clover design inside and a crystal gem on each point of the star.

The box read-
1 leaf for luck
1 leaf for love
1 leaf for health
and 1 leaf for wealth.

I am wearing it now, maybe it will bring me some luck ;)

Then, we seen a small garage sale on the side of the road. You rarely see them around here, especially during this time of the year so he stopped for me to look. I found a new pair of boots sitting on the table and I asked the guy how much he wanted for them. The guy said $3! My dh asked me if the boots would fit and I said yes if I wore either another pair of socks or thick socks. He then pulled out his wallet and bought the boots for me.

I feel  I have a habit of spending my money on everyone besides myself and he even brought that up today. He said I need to start getting things for myself too.

Wanted to share how sweet he was today, I love the bracelet despite of the cost, it's really cute!

awwww!! whats he want? or what did he do? just kidding. Thats very nice of him. I think they act really awful sometimes so when they do something that they should be doing anyway we think its a big deal. Been with mine for 15 yrs. maybe im just jaded. I love yard sales btw.. they dont have them around here to much either.

LOL, he does things for me every now and then when he can. He tells me I am spoiled but, ummm I don't see it. I guess I am in a way, he says that if he can afford it and I want it he will do his best to get it for me. Now, as for flowers and plants? Nope.

Been with mine for 11 years now, I understand what you are saying.

Mine needs hubby boot camp  We had to go shopping tonight and he actually had the nerve to ask me what I needed my "personal hygiene" products for... Thursday night dinner???? What the heck does he think...and I don't think that NOW is really the time to be asking me :cussing: :cussing: :cussing:

You guys need to come this way during the summer ~ we have SO many yard sales on Monday and Tuesday that you can't get to them all ~ there just isn't anyway. We have the biggest flea market in the area and people will put out their yard sale stuff and it is huge ~ especially on holiday weeks :headbang: I love going to yard sales, but people are cut throats around here

Red, I didn't check the box and there is no stamp on the bracelet. I guess I should look tomorrow, it's in the truck and I don't want to go outside since I am already cold!

Ping, believe me...my dh does the same thing sometimes. He has asked why I needed those items before as well, "uhhhh gee honey, I don't know. Thought I would get them for the livingroom decor, you like?!" :cussing:

I looooove yard sales. In CA. I lived in a big city and went to them all the time as well as thrift stores and flea markets. I have been thinking of taking my boxes of stuff over to another town that has a flea market and try a sale. No one really stops here, I live in the country but, on a busy road. Maybe if I get some families together for a sale.

Whatever I don't sell this time will go to the Salvation army or something. I couldn't find a donation site in town for the tornado victims and I don't have the $$ to ship anything. I was hoping there was a site since I have tons of clothing to give them.

They are putting a halt on clothing for right now anyway ~ we are moving into the getting out of winter and into spring/summer phase so things are so weird. We had another round of bad luck with some of the kids in our school ~ the state fire marshall went into one of the trailer courts that was hit by the tornado to check some of the sites that wasn't damaged by the storm and ended up making the rest of the families move out because of the owners electrical violations. He had all the trailers hooked up to two electric boxes. Our family resourse lady has been working all week on trying to find homes for the families that have been displaced.

Still working on dishes and furniture and such ~ they have opened up all the roads now and it is so sad up in those areas, it has really affected me. Thanks for thinking of us though!!
