Do you consider this a prize?

I'm asking this question here rather than Comment on the prize link to hopefully get more comments in response.

this is the comment I posted on the Lane Bryant facebook wall earlier today.

Today got a message that I had claimed my prize when I tried to play Spin and Win. I claimed the $25. off $75 the first day it landed on that. It has landed on that every day since and I always get a message to claim. 1. I don't consider that a prize and 2. the rules state the Instant Prize is a $75 Lane Bryant Gift Card. So what's the deal? I see there has been not Return Comment from LB on other comments regarding Spin and Win.

This is Lane Bryant's reply: Please, note that we give away one prize a day which is a pair of jeans in which you receive a gift card to purchase in the mail. Yes, the $25 off $75 is a default for people who do not win the jeans or one of the other coupons that are given away on a less quantity basis. the other option would have been to give nothing away and say "Sorry, try again" but we opted for the gift cheque for those who do not receive one in the mail. We appreciate your comments.


There were a couple of comments basically saying I was greedy because I didn't consider this a prize.

So adding these two points-One if this was a prize then why did it let me (us) keeping spinning every day thereafter? Two if $ off is a prize then it should state so in the rules. :scratch:

so opinions please- I promise I won't cry :cry: if you don't agree.
 
:wave: Don't cry! :cry: I agree with you, especially since the rules state that the instant win prize is $75. It is the only prize listed in the rules. I do see on their wall that they have been having problems as others are also posting that they are getting the same thing, that they already claimed their prize when all they claimed was the 25 of 75. Wait a couple days and try it again.

i agree. coupons which are only there to get more business are not "prizes".
i got the 25 off 75 too. and the 1 off ERA. it seems like some of the small "prizes" are just marketing schemes, most use to be free items.
Some shouldn't be considered a "prize" when it disqualifies you from winning something bigger/better.
