Economic downturn-less spam?

Has anybody else noticed that there seems to be less spam? I have what I call my "super spam account" an account for sweeping and freebies I have been using since the mid 1990's. Lately my normal 400 spam emails a day seems to be down to...under 200?
At least the slowdown is good for something!

I really don't get any spam, but I have noticed a significant drop in junk mail. Most of that print material is very expensive, so it doesn't surprise me if companies are cutting back on those expenses.

I have noticed less too..

I thought everyone got spam.. how did you manage that?

Most of what I get are newsletters, subscriptions, etc., which I signed up for. If, on occasion, I were to get spam, I either unsubscribe from it or block it. The only junk I get is usually those phony lottery/Nigerian/someone dropped dead and left you money scams. With those, I attempt a block and add the end of the URL to my list of email not to except for any ending with that.

400 A DAY??

I don't even get that many in a YEAR.

If I see 2 spams a month, that's a lot. :nono:
