Eprize on caller ID

I just got home from work and noticed a phone number of 248-543-6800 Eprize on my caller ID. The call came at 1:20pm. There was no message left for me. I am so bummed because I am wondering if I won a prize of some sort and may never know about it since I wasn't home to answer the phone.

Anyone ever get a phone call from Eprize about winning a specific sweepstakes?

Notification about larger prizes I have won have always come via Fed Ex with an affidavit or via an email with an attached affidavit. Notification about smaller wins have always come via email. Rec'd only 1 prize notification via telephone from a Sear's daily win contest.

Any ideas about what I should do? I called the number but there is no way to speak with a person unless you have an extension.

Sorry my notices normally come in writing, you must have won something, why else would Eprize be contacting you out of all the entries they get.

I believe it is something BIG

I know this sounds too simple, but did you try calling the number back? I hope it's a big win for you!

Not sure if that # and addy are still good {Jen Gray} I'd try the toll free # first - they could probably connect you to that # for free - gl!!!

Yes, I did call the number back but with the prompts you either had to know your extension or search by last name for the person you wanted to talk to. I did end up choosing a generic prompt and leaving my name and phone number and a message. I also sent them off an email but don't know what good any of that will do me if the rules of the contest stated that one has to answer the phone. Seriously, I know this company contracts with tons of companies to run sweepstakes so I am sure they are busy, busy, busy.

Having only 1 time in the many many sweeps that I have won (lots of small ones) been notified of winning by telephone, I figure notifying someone by telephone is not very common. Since these are internet sweeps, I figure most winners are notified by email or by mail which is how I have rec'd all but 1 notification.

Have any of you won a contest run by Eprize and been notified by telephone only?

I guess what I posted was unhelpful? The toll free was the # they called from?

Anyway, yes, they called once - to do a follow up - I assume it's a service they provide and that sponsor {I can't remember who now?} requested and paid extra for.

Most sweeps rules will say they will attempt to contact you and then you'll have 72 hours to respond, and I doubt they'd only try calling once, or not try to email you too.

No, they did not call from the toll free number. The number on my caller ID was 248-543-6800.

What you posted was helpful. I went to their website and used the email address of [email protected]
to send them an email. In the email I gave them my daytime work phone number.

Perhaps on Monday I will give the toll free and the 248 area code number a call while I am at work and hope a get a real person to talk to during working hours.

Thanks again for your help.

I just wish I would hear from someone on the forum who has ever rec'd a phone call from Eprize. Just wondering which companies they administer sweeps for.

I have a horrible memory, so I post and sticky threads with links and info that gets asked about a lot - that's where I got the eprize info from.

For sponsors eprize runs sweeps for? You can look here:

http://eprize.com/portfolio

But those are active sweeps - they probably called about an expired sweeps. SA doesn't always put the company that runs the sweeps for a sponsor in the title, so doing a search would be incomplete.

They DID call me, I just can't remember who the sponsor/what sweeps it was for, but it was a small matter.

I know VALPAK used to ONLY call one time, and MTV might still, but I don't recall seeing any sweeps administered by eprize doing so.

Please let us know

When I won $1,000 from Purex, they did notify me by phone. Actually though, it was a legal firm that called and not the sweepstakes administrators. I don't recall if that was eprize or not. Hope you get an answer soon!

Now this saga gets real interesting.

I usually only enter contests with my own name and email address. But I started wondering if the phone call could of been for a contest where my husband and son entered and since the Pepto Bismol March Madness Upset contest is the only contest that they wanted to participate in, I checked the rules for that contest and sure enough Eprize is the administrator.

I remember checking the rules of the contest to make sure that more than 1 person per household could enter. We are good there. It was 1 entry per email address. Each day I would print out the list of basketball games and we would all pick our upset. Grand prize is $10,000 but there was a daily prize of a $1500 Best Buy gift card.

Since I check my emails daily I know I never got an email from Eprize. My husband and son check their emails daily or often but they delete a lot of what they call junk emails without even reading. There is no way now to know if either of them ever got an email from Eprize.

So now I am thinking/hoping that one of us is a winner in the contest. I am going to have both my husband and son email Eprize and call the phone number that was on our caller ID.

Stay tuned....

Re: Eprize on caller ID - Devastating News

I am devastated. I received an email reply below from Eprize. All you sweepers must know how carefully I check my emails and my spam folder for emails since I enter so many contests. I have no idea how I could have missed this email. The grand prize was $10,000. I won a grand prize in 2006 and never thought I would again but was always hoping. Check your emails twice -
that's all I can say.

You were selected as a potential Grand Prize winner in the Upset of the
Day brought to you by Pepto and notified accordingly on 3/28 via email.
In order to claim the prize, you were required to complete and submit
an Affidavit within ten (10) calendar days from notice of your win.

When your paperwork was not returned by April 8, the prize was forfeited
and an alternate winner selected.

Sincerely,

ePrize Customer Service

This makes no sense - why would they call you after the 10 days?

I {well, my son} missed a window for a $500 win, and he felt so bad, he rarely enters anymore. I felt bad too, because I knew from the rules they had a very short window to respond, but I {as the gatekeeper - reading rules/tracking our entries/etc} failed to impress upon him how you need to check your email daily, and to pay attention to detail.

Not long after that happened, I won a GP for $10,000, and until now, had forgotten about that missed win.

I know it's scant comfort now, but do try to shake it off, and perhaps take some comfort in the thought that whomever was selected as the alternate winner just got their 1st ever GP. :)

Friday, 4/6/11, was the 10th day. I guess they were being nice and calling to see what the holdup was with the affadavit - giving me one last chance to fax it over - whatever.

I am trying to take comfort in believing that everything happens for a reason and perhaps the person who will now win the $10,000 Visa gift card needs it more than me to buy food or help them get by in life. But, believe me, I am so hurting for money right now but at least I can pay my monthly bills. God works in mysterious ways.

So very very sorry to hear this.
Remember to stay positive and you are right; everything happens for a reason.

 I have always said: "There is a reason for "Everything" no matter what the situation is. We are all put here on this earth for a "reason". Only the good lord knows and it is up to him on what we are suppose to do with our lives. The alternate person that won the $10,000.00 obviously needed it and we just have to let go of what was once ours. That is where counting your blessings comes in handy. I try and do that everyday but some days are harder than others....lol

Best of luck and praise the Lord for all good things come to those that wait! :headbang:
