Ever have something so weird happen to you - you just cant believe it happened?!

Have you ever had strange things happen to you and you cant believe they happened?! Well, yesterday I licked an envelope and the edge nicked my lip just the tiniest bit- it hit a blood vessel and popped it open and was spurting blood for 2 hours before I went to the doctor! I mean spurting like as my heart pumped! They couldn't get it to stop on the ER and said they'd never seen anything like it! So they put in a stitch and it still wouldn't stop! Soooooo- they had to cauterize my lip! NOW I have a huge black spot on my lip that wont go away for ten days and a stitch! It looks so bad- customers at work last night were like you have something on your lip!!! So I almost bled to death from a papercut-LOL just kidding but seriously!!! Oh, and I have a job interview on Tuesday for a new job- how's that gonna look?

Or my parents recently had some drunk kid enter their house at like 2 am and try to climb in bed with them!!! They didnt even know who he was and the scary part is my dad didnt even get up and my mom just sent him packing out the front door with his clothes in hand! She didnt even call the police! AND they still dont lock their door at night!!! Or maybe it's just me but this seems so weird!!!

OMG...I don't know which is scarier...the lip or the drunk! I never realized you could do that to your lip ~ that is terrible! One thing you can bet on though with your job interview ~ tell them that story and you will make an impression that they won't forget!

I never lock my doors during the day, but I always try to remember to at night! That is to scary!!

omg! That sounds so painful. I have never heard of a paper cut bleeding like that. wow. you were licking the envelope of a bill weren't ya? That will teach ya. :laughing: seriously though I hope you are feeling better. good luck with the job interview.

wow what a story... and good luck with your interview....

well nothing really to me.. but last year (my sister has a house right on a corner of an intersection) a car slams into her house at 2am. Into my niece's room and misses her bed by a foot... My sisters husband and her pull the guy from his car and begin CPR and yell for the kids to call 911,,,Turns out he was drunk and passed away right there on their lawn..... He lived 3 houses down, he was on his way home from a bar they girlfriend of the man told my sister....

Wow, sorry but it has to be said, "what a great story, both of them." i am glad it all worked out and everyone is ok but how cool are your stories. Oh, and if I was inteviewing you and you told me that story, I would so hire you!! Heck, if a paper cut does that to you and you keep going, I would figure you would take a bullet for me and finish out the day before going to the doctor, you would be a great asset to the company. As for you parents, how great are they??? I am glad they are ok but it is also great to see that they still have faith in the human race, we all need to have a little of that. Thanks for the great story.

that is so crazy gibby, i'm glad your ok. Its wierd how we have all these things in our face that can be connected in some way.
I went to the dentist one time to get my teeth pulled. Well when they stuck the needle in to numb it, they must have struck a nerve or something, because stuff shot all the way up into my eye. It felt like I had stuff on my face and my eye, but nothing was there. It numbed my face for a while, and afterward it was funny, half my face was numb the other wasn't, so I smiled really strange. It scared me more then hurt me.

That is so wierd about the drunk guy coming into your parents house. I would be so freaked out if someone was in my house.

The paper cut story makes me cringe SO bad!! I feel SO bad for you, but I do think it will make for a VERY interesting interview and score you the job!!

The guy coming in your parent's house like that is one of my worst nightmares!! In fact, I woke up in the middle of the night last night because I thought I heard a strange noise and couldn't go back to sleep. Hubby wouldn't wake up so I sat there for an hour with Ole Blue. I think I'd die right there if some stranger came in AND climbed in bed with us!! Kudos to your mother for being so damn brave!!
