I just wrote a whole big ? and posted it...only in the wrong section :nono: sorry SA and everyone. NOW my FACEBK Question is:
when I try & enter contests via SA - FaceBk... many of them ask for verification...and then it states to "allow access" or leave application". If I allow access...it says something like it will be seeing my entire profile...and all my friends info etc. That is where my ques. is.... I dont want my family being bothered w/any unnecesary emails or whatever from the contest companies...IF that is even what they mean. Does anyone know what that means? Also, I have been chosing ..."leave application" just in case, so I am now assuming by leaving the application I am not getting entered...is that correct too? Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.... thank you.

can someone pls help me w/this ?..... when entering the facebook sweeps, some of them require to be a fan and post a comment... easy enough BUT others seem to need me to become a fan BUT then it "needs verification"... and asks me to "allow access" or "leave application". If I allow access, then it states it will see my profile and be able to see any or all of my friends info etc. That is the issue I have as I dont need to be bombarding my family with a bunch of maybe spam emails or I dont even know what they would do w/that info.... SO I leave application. I assume then I am not entering the sweeps. Is that correct? Also, is it correct in assuming if I "allow access" then they will contact any and all of my friends?? Thanks for any help as I don't understand facebook or how to maneuvre thru it at all.... I haven't even attempted to go to twitter...
Maybe in 2012...

Just about every application (game, sweeps entry, etc) you would do on Facebook asks this question. Aside from gaining information about you, it's pretty harmless--they don't email your friends or family (at least it hasn't happened to me). Just be sure when you do an application that it's legit--hackers of course, are starting to invade fb and a couple of my friends have gotten viruses from different games, etc., on fb. Not from entering sweeps, though.

:sunny: You can choose not to publish that you are entering when the pop up box comes up so that it doesn't show up on your friends pages. After entering on FB you normally get a page that says Congratulations you have been entered and an opportunity to send the contest to your friends.
