Facebook Sweeps how companies check to see if you've liked them

I've been using my sweepstakes email to enter sweepstakes on Facebook for a few weeks now, and I've been wondering how companies check to see if you've liked them?

My worry is that they may select a winner, use their email to check if they are a Facebook fan, and then disqualify you for using an alternative email. I was wondering if anyone has any experience in this? Ever win a Facebook sweep using a different email? Can you change the email that your Facebook is associated with?

Re: Facebook Sweeps

I honestly don't know for sure, but I know with many of them you have to "like" the page for the entry form to appear, which would show that you have liked them if you were able to enter. Other than that, I don't know. I don't use my first and last name on my facebook (I have FB only for sweeps, not social) I use my first and middle name, so it would make it hard to search that too because I enter with my real name.

Maybe that's why I dont win any fb sweeps!?? :sunny:

Anyway, you can change your email somewhere in your settings or privacy menu. I have done it before, but I don't remember exactly how. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Re: Facebook Sweeps

 I'm not sure but I think that they can click on their Like and see who has liked them just as we can click on friends to see our friends. As far as your email on FB goes, most people no longer have their personal/sweeping email appearing on their About
page. Instead it is the one that FB changed them all to: [email protected]
