For those of you who don't know.............

I totally love fishing.... :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: for me that is the ultimate relaxation... we have 3 lakes here in the town I live... today we went to Sandy Wool... and yeaaaaaaaaaa.... I caught a fishyyyyy... lol.. just a little guy... I was using one of those hard plastic rapala lures..... and I got a hit... the little guy was a fighter but... I caught his :cussing:..... here's a pic of the fishy and the lake we were at tonight after I got off work....

:headbang: You really threw me on that one! I would have never guess that you loved to fish. Fishing is so relaxing! What a beautiful place to fish and relax.
 
I like to fish, but have not done so in years. My parents have a private pond that once held lots of catfish. My dad would feed the fish daily, then fish out of the pond to catch fish for fish frys. Well...one day the water turned over, and all the fish died. It has not been fished since then, and it has been several years now.

This coming weekend, I am going to do a bit of fishing in that pond, to see if there are any fish in there to catch. If not, I am going to stock the pond with fish. I will have my very own private fish pond one day to fish out of. :crazytongue:
 
I enjoy fishing and up until last year I hadn't fished in years. Now, I have a fishing license and my husband takes me fishing every now and then. Here we have a lot of rivers and lakes but, I prefer the lake. I don't like fishing at the river here, don't know why.
 
I never would have thought that. :scratch: I dont have the Patience's for it. If I dont get a nibble in the first five minutes im done.

Wow sticks your own pond? HOw fun... I would love that.... Thats pretty cool of your dad to take care of his own pond then fish out the fish when time for the "fry"... how fun... I totally love it...I bring my magazines, books, etc. up to the lakes with me and just cast the line and wait and wait and wait.... actually on Sunday we went about 20 minutes from our house and there is a lake quarry (rock lake) where they just stocked it with 750 pounds of rainbow trout.... I threw my line out and within 10 minutes I seen my bobber go under and then my pole flew off the pole holder and into the lake... the fish was swimmin' up the lake with my pole, I made my fiance dive in and go swimmin' after it... lol... welll he got it and the dang fish snapped the line... it was a hugeeeee one...... this weekend we're goin' up to the fishin' store to get our poles re-strung with 15 pound test line... I can't waitttttttttt

Fishing is a lifestyle around here ~lol!!! You are born with a fishing pole in your hands...I love to fish, but I hate to go with my grouchy teenager daughter who HATES it!

We live in coal country and when the mines were done mining the land they reclaimed it and put pits EVERYWHERE and stocked them...we have huge fishing pits everywhere in our county. We can go 5 minutes down the road and fish all day.

True story ~ the biggest thing that my Momma ever caught...me! She hooked me right in the knee. We were fishing at Kentucky Dam when I was about 3 and she went to cast her line and caught me in the knee and it set. I don't remember it of course, but I still liked to tease her about it like I did. We ended up at the ER getting it cut out of my skin ~ I am sure we smelled wonderfully ~ YUCK!

I LOVE to catfish...that is my favorite. Carp will fight ya pretty good. But I think that bluegill and catfish are the best tasting! Jimmie has to clean them though ~ if I have to watch them being cleaned I won't eat them...I don't have the stomach for it ~ sorry!!
 
Oh wow.... too funny. CHampagne fishing. DO you wear makeup when you go fishing. My husband likes fishing, I like it, until I catch the fish, then I don't know what to do with it. :crazytongue:
 
Ping.. Omg... ouch... I'm sure your mother was soooooo freaked out tht she hooked her little baby... glad you don't remember it.... you are sooo lucky to have so many lakes where you live... my daughter loves fishing just as much as i do.....

Tiffy..... you smart :cussing: ... LOL ... what girl? I'm not allowed to go fishin' just because I like 2 look good... wth... LOL .... I'm like you though girl.. if I catch it.. I won't touch it or clean it.. I leave that up to my man....
