"Hide" Sweeps We Can't Enter/Want To Ignore?

Is there a way to possibly hide the sweeps we want to ignore? There are some contests that are daily or weekly that I don't want the prize, do not trust, or just in general want to ignore entering (too much trouble).

It would be great if there was a way to click a "hide" button/link and maybe just have it hide everything and only show the title and an "unhide" link. Then my eyes can skip it easily and I don't have to waste time clicking the link to realize it was a sweep I didn't want to enter again. I know I could make a "Favorites" category for all the sweeps I like, but I would still have to go through the list to grab new "Favorites" -- would be easier just to hide the few I want to skip over :)

Also, do I always have to click the "sweepsCheck" button to record the date or is there a way to make it so when I click the link it auto records it? Just wondering if I am doing it wrong?

jellymuffin - I do a search from the home page then use SweepsCheck to mark those I want to ignore, so when I go thru a category/new sweeps, I only look at sweeps I haven't yet checked off.

As to using a tool that could be configured to hide certain sweeps? I wouldn't think that it would be possible *unless* we already knew the link/URL since there is so much "crossover" - like Lands End has an active promo, but if you used Lands End as your "hide" term, you'd also hide promos that give away gift cards to Lands End, along with other prizes you might want to enter for!

I program for a living, and from the looks of how your database is setup it seems like it would be easy. Just as the database is able to create a list of sweepstakes with the "add to my sweepstakes" link on each sweeps listing (and also how it does the sweepsCheck date to some extent), it could do the same for a "hide" listing. Basically for anyone logged in with an account (plus only maybe?) you could hit a "hide" link, then when a page listing is built if the "hide" flag in the database is set to 1 (yes, whatever) then it would only show the name of the contest and unhide link.

It was just something I have seen on a couple other sweeps site and use it, but your site I am subscribed to the plus service and would love to use it here, too... especially on the daily listings where every shopyourway (or sweeps I can't enter) is listed and I would love to just be able to ignore them. The list is so big sometimes! lol

Not too important overall, just a feature that I thought would come in handy. Especially to those of us who use the sweepsCheck link to keep track of when we last entered and can't use it to mark unwanted sweeps like recommended above :)
