How freaky is this?

My 10 1/2 year old is learning to wash dishes. I don't let him wash knives, heavy dishes or pans yet and I walked into the kitchen to bring a dish towel since I am folding laundry. I told him to go help his sister put her clothes away while I wash the glasses because, for some reason I visioned one of the glasses slipping into the sink and shattering on him.

Well, as I was cleaning the glasses one of them shattered while my hand was IN the glass! OMG, imagine if it was my son's hand  Thank goodness it didn't cut me but, it did scare the you know what out of me at first. Something told me to wash the glasses myself, I am so glad I did or my son could have been hurt.

gotta love that mom psychic ability  I glad you are ok. always go with your gut instinct. always.

Thank you.

You know what cin? That is exactly what my son said, he told me "Mom, it was god telling you to clean those glasses so that I wouldn't get hurt and he made sure you weren't hurt too". Wow, coming from someone so young!

Thank you.

Kids have a special connection with God they can see and hear things because they are so inocent. That is just amazing that your son said that. :)

I am the most godless of creatures, and have the occasional gift of prescience. Some people are better at it than others.

Maybe it wasn't so much God, as good luck on your son's part...or it wasn't in his fate to get hurt that day. I do not believe our future is set. It can be changed by the decisions we make.

I am not very religious but, I am trying to teach my children to believe in god and letting them follow the religion they are most comfortable with. I want them to grow up as religious individuals. I am non denominational and my kids are going to start attending Awana's (babtist) when I have better transportation. They have went to Catholic for holidays with my stepdad a few years ago but, I do NOT believe in the catholic ways. When we moved out here, they occ. attend a penticostal church with my inlaws, they enjoy it but, now they are interested in attending Awana's. I want them to explore for themselves. I explained to them that it would be too confusing to attend both penticostal and babtist church so once they attend a few classes, I will let them decide but, I really think they will love Awana's as I was in it for many years and loved it.

Some things that I see or dream about scare me, especially when they come true. My mother does the same thing. I don't know if it's a gift or natural instincts. I don't know if there was someone watching over him or not, I am just so glad that I washed those glasses instead of him.

Moms know best. Although God does even better. :sunny: So glad your son is OK and you did not get cut

No ~ there are people with the ablility to tune in to things ~ whether good or bad. Sometimes that might be scary, but I believe that it is natural and that all people have the ability just that all don't know how to use it. My sister is scary at predicitions! She will be at like 95 - 100% at any given time. She has taken to not telling people ~ her husband calls her a jinx.

I can tune into her emotions just like a radio ~ I can tell you what she is thinking ~ easy! It blows her mind! She is the only person I can do that way! I know that some of it is that we are so close, but there is something beyond that even...it is neat! All I can say is that I am thankful to have her!

I have had a couple of dreams come true, but Karen has it happen a lot!! Now we share with each other to see what happens! We know the other one won't thing we are crazy ~ thank goodness!!

That was a wierd coincidence, glass breaking! Aside from that the AWANA program is great for kid's and it is nondenominational all denominations can have a club. Kids learn the basics: Jesus was born, died for our sins and rose again. Nothing confusing!

Amen to that. I just personally believe Jesus is in control of my life and I have seen it too many times to doubt that it would ever be any other thing than him.

 When my son was 2 he was chasing the ride mower with his dad and he slipped and the blade cut the toe out of his little stride-rites and I just knew his toes were gone but thank God they were intact.I believed that to be an omen and I never let him cut grass not ever.I was pregnant at the time and I almost had my daughter or I thought I might,I was so scared. My son is 33 now and cuts his grass in Oregon.

gunna share my story. years ago we had a riding mower and my husband wanted to take the safety thing off so the blades would run in reverse and I told him to leave it alone it was their for a reason. well, not a week later I was cutting the grass and had my two oldest(youngest hadnt been born yet) in the cart thing that attaches to the mower. ya know moving limbs and such. anyway, I was going up a little hill and put it in reverse just as my son, he was two at the time, stood up. the mower jerked when put in reverse and he fell out of the cart. I panicked and let my foot of the brake and the mower rolled over him. I freaked. All I could see was his little feet sticking out from under the mower and they werent moving. I panicked again, and grabbed his feet and pulled. He was ok. thank god. just a little cut on his forehead. If my husband had done what he wanted I would have killed my son that day. gotta go with your gut. always. I dont know if its the voice of god or just a natural instinct we are born with but I listen to it. Needless to say I never rode that mower again and have on two different occasions stopped people I saw doing the same thing with their children and told them what happened. It was stupid.

The man who used to rent our farm ran over his kid and cut his foot off-they were able to reattach it but it does not work as well now and causes the kid (an adult now) constant pain. He often stops and talks to people who are mowing holding their kids, and shows them his foot.

Oh my goodness! I just got the chills from reading the mower stories. I am sooo glad they are ok.

 Remember, this
A woman’s intuition is always precise
When she makes a mention of it
She always knows the truth,
Take a look in her eyes, see the fire inside,
You’ll get a big surprise
You will see,
A women’s intuition is always precise.
