My eyeglasses were so scratched up that I was having a hard time seeing anything through them. Now some of you probably already know about this but for those of you that don't here is what I did. Found this on the internet.
Plastic Lens ONLY!!!!
I bought some Armour Etch Glass Etching Cream from my local hobby shop today and put on a thick layer of the stuff using a Qtip on both sides. I let it sit for 5 minutes and then washed it off in warm water. Make sure you wear gloves! My glasses are almost like new!!!!! It didn't hurt the metal frames either. It takes off that coating that is on your glasses which is what was scratched on mine. Won't take out the deep ones, just those surface scratches. Sure am looking forward to watching tv with out that blur!!!!!! Going to try it on my hubby's reading glasses next!
New glasses $300.00 Armour Etch $10.00 Savings $290.00 !!!!
Hope this helps others! BTW my glasses are lineless bifocals and it didn't hurt that either.
