I phone 6 win but fish bowl says nothing they can do!!

Received and email you have won an IPhone 6 on a Feb draw on Fish Bowl Prizes! Contacted Fish Bowl 2 months later to see where the prize is. Web site owner said the company who put up the prize is no longer around and there was nothing he could do! No I'm sorry just there was nothing they could do and the prize would not be coming!
Not very happy about the situation!
 
Running the sweepstakes should make them liable, I would think. If not, anyone can just put up a car as a prize for promotion and "not be around" to award it later. Fishbowl knows, I assume, they can only get away with it b/c it's almost too small to bother suing if it came to that. I've never entered fish bowl ones, just looks suspect in general. File a BBB report and/or google trhe sweepstakes law in the state they are run out of and tell them you'll contact the attorney general (or whomever may be the correct authority) Maybe the threat will get you something.
 
I think all sweeps should have the prizes secured before raffling them off.Really sucks there is not much you can do.

of this situation the owner replied if you want to trash my site, have at it!
 
That's so sad. Well, hopefully they won't make this mistake again and that was not a nice thing he said, you are just being honest. If they really are concerned, they will make improvements so this doesn't happen again.
 
I'm sorry this happened to you. I've had this happen to me before but it was a smaller prize and I just let it go in the end. I wish you could get a resolution. You would think the FishBowl owner would work a little harder to make you satisfied. Boooo to him!!
