Well, that plus tax. I've only ever owned one before this one and it was really small. Now, I have a medium-sized, knit that is absolutely gorgeous. A little plain-looking but gorgeous LOL

Hubby bought it for me @ Goodwill. I can't believe they still had it! I went in there a couple months back and they wanted $20 for it. I really didn't have the extra $20 so I passed. He brought it home last night. Just the thought of him being so thoughtful means more to me than the purse

ok.. whats a sak? so its some kind of purse? I dont do the purse thing.. I dont have shoulders so the stupid things never stay were they are supposed to and if I take one that I hold in my hand I set it down somewhere.. twice in the last year I have done that.. once I got it back.. once I didnt... :nono:

I don't know what they are either...I was thinking sak as in Steak -n- Shake sak  I'm very hungry now!!

LOL Some purse nabber caughtcha slippin'. Terrible but funny the way you put it.

Yep, Sak is a purse. I don't really care for leather purses so this one is right up my alley. It's a crochet/knit-type purse with a leather shoulder strap. Not a hobo-style purse or a tote, it's more of a medium-sized, bag-type purse. If I had the digicam with me I'd take ya a pic.

Go to http://www.thesak.com/category-exec/category_id/4754 and look at the knits. Mine is sorta like that. I can't find my exact kind but you'll get the idea.

Those are cute and expensive! I can see why you are thrilled!!!

I don't spend a lot of money on things for myself and I am not a bag snob, but these kinds of purses are me. I like the "earthy" type bags because they are practical. Not to mention cute  I'd never carry a gucci bag because it's just not who I am. Nothing against ladies who do, but I'm a jeans and t-shirt kinda girl.

He totally caught me by surprise because I had forgotten about the purse. It's the little things like that he does that make me fall in love with him all over again

LMAO!! Michael, I was thinking about you earlier when I made this post!! They have some really cute yet expensive man purses too!

I'm going to PM you a recent pic of hubby too since I promised one to Tammy. Not only is he a stud but he's smart, caring, compassionate, and an all-around nice guy. You'd love him

I'm still lamenting the basic denim purse my grandmother in law got for me for xmas one year that was stolen

I used to carry a wallet in my back pocket & NO purse so I hear ya completelyme - when I find one I actually LIKE... :headbang:

The Sak
Mark Talucci (CEO) and Todd Elliott (President), founded THE SAK in 1989 with a singular handbag, created from a unique fabrication. The immediate success of this bag revealed a great demand in the marketplace for accessories crafted from unique textiles. Encouraged, they began developing distinctive, richly textured weaves, and, in 1994, launched THE SAK's signature fabrication, Tightweave. This exclusive textile, designed into modern handbag shapes, garnered a tremendous following, and propelled the THE SAK to become the fourth largest handbag company in the United States.

Today, THE SAK originates a wide range of inimitable textiles including leather, suede, canvas, straw, rattan, and wood bead, and has evolved from a handbag company, to an accessories, lifestyle brand. THE SAK products are sold in over 1900 department and specialty stores throughout the United States, and in 22 international markets.
