Info for Affidavits

I won first prize on the Cinemark/Robin Hood eprize Sweepstakes. Got the notification today and it includes an affidavit. Is it normal for them to want my birthdate and social security number? Makes sense for tax reasons, but told the hubby about my win and he says, "Don't give your SS#" Makes sense, but I'm really sure it's legit and it needs a notary.

Thanks.

Yes, they have the right to request your social security number for purposes of reporting it to the IRS. I've been sweeping for over 12 years now and have always given the requested information on an affidavit without any problems.

The same here. Have filled out many affy's to include my birthdate and social security number. As long as I know it is a sweep I entered I don't have a problem with it. Congratulations on the win!

Thanks! What a wonderful surprise to get that email. I screamed!

Awesome isn't it?

Congrats mssluna02 :headbang:  :headbang:
