There seems to be a problem with members using Internet Explorer 8. They may experiance pages loading slowly. IE9 is the latest version and you should upgrade to this version to remedy the problem.

Thank you,

-Ken

how do you know which version of IE you are using?
Click on "help" up on top-toolbar near the upper left. Then click on "About Internet Explorer" and a pop-up will come up and tell you which version is installed on your computer.

thank you! I found out I have IE 8. Now if I can just find and install IE 9 I will be good to go, I guess. I just hope roboform will work with IE 9. Just a few months ago I paid extra to get Roboform to work with FF and now FF wants me to upgrade but it says Roboform won't work. I think they are in cahoots just to extort more money from people!

I went to microsoft and they said for me to get IE 9 I have to upgrade to windows 7. I can't afford to buy stuff to I guess I will just be stuck with a slow computer. Thanks for everyones help.

I have Internet Explorer 8. I don't have windows 7 but, I was thinking about buying an Apple computer, it looks like they have Safari browser on there, can you use Roboform with that? thanks.

There's no need to pay for an upgade to Windows 7 or Vista. I went to Google and just downloaded Chrome for FREE on my Windows XP laptop and it has solved my browsing issues with the sweepsadvantage.com website. It's so nice for Microsoft to start abandoning their XP users who account for approx. 55% of the current platform users versus approx. 28% for Windows 7. Oh well, I'll just happily use my Chrome for free and save my hard earned money from greedy Microsoft.

A big THANK YOU! I downloaded chrome and it solved my problems!
I was able to import all my favorites from IE too. It's so much faster now. :sunny:

how does the built in form filler work if you have 2 people on the same computer entering sweeps? my hubby would kill me :hammer: if he had to go back to typing entries because I stole the form filler (which I would do )

you can create 2 different identities with your roboform. It will be the same as before, only my roboform stuff is on the bottom of the screen with google chrome, not on the top of the screen like IE.

So roboform will work with google chrome then? That is great to hear because I am so used to using it and so is my hubby. I will download chrome in the morning and give it a try! thanks so much for all the info!

It works, only, now all of a sudden, i keep getting a "shockwave player crash " thing. I didn't get that on IE. This is very frustrating. It takes a couple of seconds for roboform to fill in too.

I downloaded Chrome, but how do I get my Roboform on it?
Never mind, I got it. I think I am really going to like this Chrome. It really is faster! Just like anything new it will take a little while to get use to using.

This is a timely topic for me. IE 8 crashed my system and hesitant to use IE9. If XP users have it and it is fine, please let us know.

I had and loved Comcast Search as my default brower, it was fast and let me overlap 20+ windows (for entering sweeps) while still keeping a website search page open. Had an issue with Norton Saturday and the person screwed up my computer by disabling everything and deleting Comcast Search. Can't get it back because it is old and even Comcast can't access it anymore.

Now pages only open in Tabs which annoying and doesn't work as well as opening windows pages.

Anyone know how I can get back to overlaying windows?

Thanks,

There may have been a combination of javascript code that was causing a problem with IE8 only on the new sweepstakes page. I have changed the new sweepstakes page and it seems to be loading fine for me with a IE8 emmulator. Please test and let me know.

I just switched to google chrome and find it to be good. I like it better than the IE8, my pages load a lot faster. I haven't had an issue with the shockwave player since the first day. I don't know why that happened the first day. It kept saying that the shockwave player had crashed, but, it seemed to be working fine.
But, I do now use the google fill in more than the roboform. If i hit the roboform button it takes a couple of seconds to fill out everything (don't know why).

For now everything is running good. :sunny:

Here's a minor thing I've noticed for a while now. Why is there such a delay on all the sweeps "hits" counters? Here it is 1:00 Eastern and all sweeps still show "0" hits. I remember at one time the hit counters were in real time. You could actually refresh your page and watch the hits go up.

I noticed that too. I just got done entering all the "new sweeps" and the hit counter said "0" on all of them. I just noticed that too.

We can't update hits in real time anymore. ( We changed this several months ago ) Updating this number
in real time is a major performance drain. We only update it 2x per day now.
