Hi all!

Our nephew is out here from Cali and he wants to upload my music onto his ipod and I want to upload his to mine. How can I take his music off and put it in my itunes so that I could upload all of the music on itunes to both ipods without losing my 500 songs or his 300?

Thanks in advance! I will be back in a bit to see if anyone can help me.

Oh man, Mik!! I have very little knowledge of how an ipod or itunes works, but I vaguely remember hubby plugging a port(?) into the ipod and then into the computer and bringing up itunes. I hope I'm not guessing. I swear I thought he had something plugged into both devices

The only way that I would know without buying anything else would to be to burn your list to CD's then copy onto his list and the other way around. I have master copies of all of my songs in case I 'lose' my list somehow...

Thanks everyone. How can I do this without losing music or going through my itunes though Tammy? All of my music is from CD's but, some CD's are messed up and I am unable to get the music off again. I can go this weekend to buy some blank CD's which I could for sure burn some of my music but, I'd really like to have some of his as well.

He didnt know I had an ipod and asked me earlier if I knew how to put music on one. I said yes, why and he pulled his out. His playlist also needs fixed because, whomever put music on it added doubles and triples of some songs. He then looked at mine and said he wanted most of my music.

Did you not use itunes to load them? That is what I was thinking...if you didn't you would need to get on your master list ~ where ever you loaded from. It should have a way for you to check what songs is on there and make a list of what songs you want to put on a master cd. I will ask Caitlyn what program she is using to get her's...not really sure. I always use iTunes because that is what I started with.

I did upload all of my music to itunes, I found it to be the easiest program to work with.

Well, it looks like even if I could get a program I couldn't upload anything to his. It went evil last night after I tried playing a song of his and since his middle button is messed up I couldn't reset it. I told him to let it die completely and then charge it. It just kept going through the songs 100 mph and wouldn't stop or play them. I couldn't even shut it down. Really strange. He said he can get another ipod if this one doesn't fix, I'd be lost without mine!
