Is anyone winning sweepstakes? What am I missing.

If you read the fine print (or look up the contest/sweeps) that the winners claim to win ... most of the time it is from or through the facebook (or other social media) - rather than the regular sweeps.
 
Have you been playing instant sweep's? I've had better luck with those. Haven't won anything from any other sweep's, but I'm still hopeful.
 
I can't win either. It's been a long time since I won anything of value. I did win some wrists bands this year. It's not like before
 
Hang in there. I haven't won anything large lately but I still keep plugging away in hopes that something good will happen soon. instant win games are a good bet - check and see what other sweepers post here - if a lot of people are winning in an IW game be sure and give it a try!

Blogs and Facebook contests also have MUCH better odds of winning. I'd say 80% of my wins are from those. I used to win about 30 times a month, lately it's half that. I think it's because of a new Robocopter form most blogs are using - much faster and easier to enter, but it also means the volume of enties has quadrupled. But even so, it's a good bet you will start winning. The prizes aren't as big (no trips, cars, etc - mostly prizes that are under $100, with occasionally ones that are worth more) but the smaller prizes add up! I spent nothing on Christmas gifts or birthday gifts for the past two years - won them all! Today I won a $50 Spafinder GC and a Pillsbury package of goodies - both on blogs.

The wins will come. Sometimes you get several in a short period of time, sometimes months pass before you get one. The dry spell was happening for me then 3 days after Christmas, I get a phone call from United Vacations informing me that I won the grand prize of a trip to Kauai, Hawaii. I tend to have better luck on Facebook sweeps than the one-entry ones. Enter as many as you can. The wins will come.
 
I haven't won either for a very long time, not even little wins. I choose not to join Facebook and I emailed eprize to ask if they can sell alternative methods of entry to their clients and they said No.

A previous sweeper mentioned they used to win 30 times per month, I've never won that much in one year. I probably enter far less sweeps and I am very limited in the times of day that I can enter, so I know that is a big factor in me not winning.

I keep plugging away though and just enjoy the game.

As others say, you have to enter a lot of sweeps. I don't think a majority of people win anything "big" for several months. I won my first bigger prize (worth $350) after about 2 months. Some have beginners luck, but it seems to take time for others. I am still waiting for a *really* big win...and I have been doing this for 5 months! :laughing:
 
I haven't won anything in over a year. It's discouraging, but I keep trying when I have the time. I keep coming back here to hear about other people's wins, because that is what keeps me going. Yes, I get jealous, but I like to know that if others are winning I still have a chance.

I would love to win a mattress (mine is in terrible shape) or maybe a trip to Las Vegas since my friend in getting married there in two months and I don't know if I can go, but I'd be happy with a dvd or a book just to win something.

Did not win for 4 months all of a sudden I won 6 different prizes in the last month including a Blue ray player!!!
So just take a deep breath the prizes will come.
 
This was a good topic. It's good to hear of the wins, you can tell how excited the winner is and you feel that excitement for them and keeps you going.

But it also helps to find out you are not the only person not winning and get encouragement to keep trying.
 
It took me 6 months to win, then 6 YEARS to win a biggie. I entered all day, every day too!!!

Now I'm not winning. But that's OK - slumps happen - we even have threads about it!!!

Sweeping is a hobby that is all about timing. Especially for those elusive instants! IF you enter at the exact right moment, you will win.

If not? Sad to say you won't. But I assure you - it's nothing personal, and those who win a lot don't have any "secrets" - they are just consistent, persistent, and patient.

I really believe that if you go into it thinking you can't win, well, you'll MAKE yourself right so often you'll start believing it!!!

I truly do believe you have to have a positive attitude - don't get hung up on what others are doing - just focus on entering, then move on to something else - like posting so we can get to know you!!!

:sunny: There really is no rhyme or reason for the frequency of winning. I use to win at least 1 instant win a day, but those have really dried up for me. Of course, I have really slacked off on them, too and don't always get to them everyday. Instead I am winning on FB, daily entries, daily giveaways and one times. I enter them everyday. One thing for sure, you won't win if you don't enter. Best of luck to everyone! That big win is just around the corner!! :headbang:
 
I too have completely stopped winning, NOTHING at all since July 2011. I do not enter via facebook. I just assumed there are fewer sweepstakes in this economy. Discouraging.
 
I think I like enter and forget it...but some of them I just don't forget! $$$ LOL Lately, I have been winning small things....but always hopeful!
 
If this hobby is an exercise in anything, it's patience. It all takes time. It takes time to enter, it takes time to win, it takes time for prizes to arrive.

It's also cyclical, there were a TON of sweeps that were running to the end of the year, and they had a lot of prizes and were shipping fast to get things to folks before Christmas. It seems like the usual sponsors are still plugging away through the start of the year, but the urgency and the volume of sweeps slows down and takes a breather this time of year too and there will be more sweeps to enter and more prizes to go around again later in the spring and leading into summer.

I haven't been in a true dry spell in a while, but my winning mojo has been aimed squarely at the book category so far this year. That seems to be the only thing I'm winning lately.
 
I agree. Something seems to be going on. Are computer geeks able to hack the sweeps sponsor's contests? I used to win the instants quite often. Now--NOTHING!!
