Be sure to fill out a change of address card for the post office and state that all mail should be forwarded and that you will pay any extra postage due (probably wouldn't be any, but why take a chance?) that way you will get all first class and bulk mail sent to you. (hopefully). If you are selling your current home, and have contact at closing with the people that are moving in, you could ask them to hold any mail or UPS or FedEx packages that come to you at the old address and assure them you will pick it up in a timely manner after they let you know it is there. (then do it so they don't get upset with you and stop letting you know) Also, if you know your new address start using it now for any sweeps that won't be awarding prizes until after you make the move.
