Is anyone still playing the Loacker sweeps where they say there's a winner every hour?? Did you notice there are so many repeat winners?? Also, they are NOT giving away a win every hour. Should I attempt to bring it to their attention?? J.

Johnws556,

You asked several questions. Here's what I think:

"Is anyone still playing the Loacker sweeps where they say there's a winner every hour??"
---Yes, I try to play once or twice a day. I think other people still play.

"Did you notice there are so many repeat winners??"
---No, I never check the winners. I just play when convenient.

"Also, they are NOT giving away a win every hour."
---I copied and pasted a portion of the rules. I'm not sure, but here are two hypothetical possible explanations that I can think of...who knows?

1. Maybe if no one plays at or after the winning time, and then it is time for another winning time, there could be a missed win? I'm thinking that if most people play early in the hour, but the random time was 11:58, for example and no one played between then and the next winning time of 12:02, then the 11:58 win would not be awarded. (?)

2. Maybe for some unknown reason, the winner was not posted.

From the Rules:
"The promotion runs for 2,904 hours (equals number of hours between 10 am to 10 pm ET within the Promotion Period). For each of these hours, computer will generate one random winning time, one for each of the secondary prizes (non grand prize) listed below. If you are the first person to enter a Code at or after one of the randomly generated times, you will be a potential instant winner of the prize indicated."

"Should I attempt to bring it to their attention??"
---I would not, but if you do, please be polite and choose your phrasing carefully. Please keep in mind that sponsors do not have to give away anything, and if they receive what they perceive as complaints, they may discontinue offering sweeps. I'm not saying you personally would complain. As I read your post, I see that you say you would attempt to bring it to their attention, meaning you would ask a question, or request further information to clarify.

Entry Category : Instant Win Sweepstakes

Hi arrtup3, I'm glad you responded. I have really studied this particular sweep. On the days that you enter, do you use all your ten entries in a row?? If you check out their winner's list (they provide it very accessibly) right there, you'll see several repeat names, so I figured that they were using a strategy which I just started using (or a similar one). When I check the clock, they give you the LAST time there was a winner. I usually wait till there's been no winner in the last hour both on their clock and the REAL time that it is, so that we're covering BOTH time bases. Let's say they say there's no winner in the last 55 minutes, and just to make it easier to explain (??) it's 8:55 P.M. You start with your first code, and when it's a no-win, you enter another code (keeping your eye on THEIR clock, just to make sure no one got in by the time you entered your second code). Are you with me - I'm trying to explain it as best as I can, but I'm probably confusing the heck out of you!! If their clock goes back to zero, I stop entering for a while, but if it doesn't I keep going with more codes. Hope to hear from you again, J.S.

:)

Sounds like you have really paid attention. I am not so conscientious about this one and have never entered all ten entries. I thought you could only enter once per hour, so I only try once per hour. Maybe that is how it was for their previous sweeps?

I just read all the comments beneath the sweeps listing. Other people have posted what you noticed: that there are times without winners, and some people won multiple times. It is possible for one person to win 3 times.

I didn't realize until now, but you can play 12 times per day (not 10).

Your explanation is good and clear. I will try to find a time near the end of what looks like a winnerless hour and see how I do checking their clock and entering my code 12 times (or as many as I can).

I won from two or three of their previous sweeps and I like their wafers, I'm just not too motivated right now. Guess I'm just happy with wafers and tea and the $100,000 seems like a long shot, but you know how it goes, "You can't win if you don't enter," so good luck with your strategy!

arttup3, Glad I explained it well enough - sometimes it's hard to put something into words clearly! I'll be curious to see how you do trying it out. When they say not a winner, I already have the next code memorized, so as not to waste a minute! OCD?? I never entered anything from them before, so I never even won a bloody wafer or tea! Now that Loacker is over for the day, we have 40 minutes to obsess over the IW's! Good luck. J.

I bought the wafers so I could get the code, and they go well with tea.

Good luck!

I have gotten very frustrated with this one thus play it only rarely. If people are winning this multiple times, they must know the trick to it.

or they could just be lucky enough to enter at the right time twice!

Agree, could be just luck.

I watched the time since last win just now, and it went past 60 minutes, so I tried every minute and within 6 or 7 minutes, someone else just won!

So, with all this talk about Loacker, thought I would try it again and maybe change my luck. I started playing at about 58 minutes after the last win and (playing slowly) entered my last code at 67 minutes after. No luck today!! Maybe I will try again tomorrow.
