Fringe does sound interesting to me. :) The classic ......TOS was and remains my primary diversion along with TNG. Of the remaining sequels ........DS9 was most notable. (I too enjoyed Babylon5) and I am pleased to meet a clever soul who enjoys the genre ......and upon whom the occasional witticism is not lost.

DS9 - agreed, it was the best of after TNG.

FIREFLY is most excellent!!! :headbang: Only 1 season, but the movie wraps up {most} of the loose ends. Think A-TEAM in space meets The Fugitive - but without the truly campy bits. :crazytongue: :laughing:

I'm an avid reader, and have been reading sci-fi/fantasy for decades. My {future} husband turned me onto DUNE back in the 80's and I loved it.

Never was able to get through The Hobbit {too repetitive} so I never did read LOTR. :cry: I've watched & rewatched the movies, so I should probably bypass The Hobbit and just read LOTR.

SECOND CHANCE DRAWING: All First through Fourth Game Prizes not awarded by 1/23/12 will be awarded in the Second Chance Drawing ("Drawing"), assuming a sufficient number of eligible entries. (Other unclaimed Game Prizes will not be awarded.) Each time you play the Game, you are automatically entered in the Drawing. Drawing winners will be determined from among all eligible entries received in a random drawing to be conducted by the Judge on or about 1/24/12. Odds of winning depend upon the number of unclaimed First through Fourth Game Prizes and the number of eligible entries received.

GENERAL: This Game/Sweepstakes is void outside the 48 contiguous United States and District of Columbia and where prohibited or restricted by law. This Game/Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and will be governed by the internal laws of the State of Delaware. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this Game/Sweepstakes must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction within the United States. Sponsor and Judge are not responsible for late, lost, stolen, damaged, garbled, incomplete, misaddressed, postage due or misdirected entries, mail or communications, for errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects or delays in operations or transmission of information, in each case whether arising by way of technical or other failures or malfunctions of computer hardware, software, communications devices or transmission lines or data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of promotional materials, loss or otherwise. Further, the Released Parties are not responsible for electronic communications that are undeliverable as a result of any form of active or passive filtering of any kind or insufficient space in a participant's e-mail account to receive e-mail messages. The use of automated software or computer programs to register for or to participate in the Game and/or Sweepstakes is prohibited and any individual who uses or attempts to use, or who Sponsor or Judge suspects of using, such methods to register or play will be disqualified. Sponsor reserves the right to restrict registrations and/or plays from any IP address and/or email address if suspicious activity is detected or suspected. Sponsor disclaims any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participation in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with, this Game/Sweepstakes, and reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend this Game/Sweepstakes if any virus, bug, technical failure, unauthorized human intervention or other cause beyond Sponsor's control corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Game/Sweepstakes. In the event of cancellation or termination, a notice will be posted on the Website and a random drawing for the Grand Prizes and unclaimed/unawarded First through Fourth Game Prizes will be held from among all eligible, non-suspect Sweepstakes entries received prior to such time. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any participant (and all of his/her entries and/or Game plays) from this Game/Sweepstakes or any other promotion conducted now or in the future by Sponsor or any of its affiliates if Sponsor determines that he/she has tampered with the entry, Game play and/or Drawing processes, attempted to circumvent the terms of these Official Rules or his/her fraud or misconduct has affected the integrity or fair conduct of this Game/Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserve the right to correct clerical or typographical errors in promotional materials. I am a huge fantasy fan as well that's probably why I believe in the magic of sweeping..
Anyway have a fantastic book suggestion for all those interested the author is patrick RothFuss and book is called the name of the wind I just finished the second in the series and cannot wait for the 3rd of course game of thrones series is also outstanding happy reading and best of luck with sweeping

I got the 1st 4 books {Game of Thrones} as a set for $20 at Amazon!!! At 1000 pages per, that's an awesome deal, and I LOVED 1-3 - 4 was hard to slog through though.

TY for the tip - I usually tend to read female authors: Kim Harrison is my current fave!
