Magazine sweep question.

I'm pretty new to sweeping. I've seen these magazine sweeps from Hearst publishing. There are about 15 mags that have the same contest. It's 250,000 dollars daily entry. They all end on the same day. It is the same contest. Right? One sweep for 250,000. Not 15 different ones. That would be nearly 4 million dollars. What I'm wondering about is can I enter every mag every day or do I need to pick one and enter just it every day to keep from being disqualified.
If I can enter every mag every day, does anyone know of any other contest like this with lots of entries and a huge prize. Are these contest legit. Do real people actually win them. Thanks. Good luck

Hi rickyd123,

Yes, they are legit. The best thing to do is to check the rules and you will probably see "creative presentation" which means there are various entry points, as you already noticed. The rules will explain the entry limits, and let you know, for example, if you can enter each sweepstakes once or once per day.

Example:

GoodHousekeeping.Com - Wish Come True Sweepstakes
Prizes & Approximate Retail Value: (1) Grand Prize Winner will win $250,000. Wnner chosen at end of sweepstakes. (24) First Place Winners will receive $1,000 each. One winner will be selected each month from entries received that month throughout the sweepstakes. (24) Second Place Winners will receive $100. One winner per month.
Restrictions : 13+ US, DC | Limit : 1 Per Household /Per Email/Per Day | Added : 02-02-11 | Expires : 01-31-2012 | Hits : 62472 | Rules

In the Official Rules, you will see, "2. ENTRIES: Limit (1) one entry per household and per e-mail address per day per unique brand presentation for The Wish Come True Sweepstakes (referred to as the “Promotion”) regardless of method of entry..."

Sometimes our SA Editors add this information to the listing:

Delish.Com - Ultimate Kitchen (Wish Come True) Sweepstakes

Yes - Creative presentations are also similar to multi-state lotteries and slots like "MegaBucks" where different locations offer an opportunity for the same prize(s). It's sometimes used to allow a bigger prize pool to be offered by one or more sponsors.

I keep in mind that when a sponsor chooses to use their advertising money on a promotion {sweepstakes, contest, etc.} that they are looking for new customers and/or trying to keep the ones they have.

Yes, the hearst publishers have only one giveaway of $250,000, but they put
the giveaway in 15 publications.
It does not matter which publication you enter. I was told you can enter only once a day.
The more times you enter, the better your chance of winning. However, the odds of
winning are astronomical as they have millions of circulation and many publications.
Yet with that kind of prize, I try to enter every day. Someone has to win, so it might as well be you.
