Marie Claire sweepstakes

I've always been hestitant to enter into the magazine sweepstakes just because you always have to click no a bunch of times to not accidently sign up for anything..I just find it annoying and I knew one day I was going to accidently hit Yes. Well today it happened :( My laptop can get a little crazy sometimes and when I hit tab the next thing I knew I was on the "thanks for entering" page. So I was just wondering if anyone else had done this before....were they inundated with junk mail? Thanks for any info! :)

:sunny: It has happened to me several times. It doesn't seem to generated any extra junk emails. For most of tme magazine subcriptions you can wait til you get an invoice and just right cancel on it and return. I normally just wait a few days (it takes at least 48 hours for your order to appear in their system), then go to their customer service page. By then I have the order number that they have emailed me and I just cancel the subscription online. Sometimes I even get a free magazine out of it!

 I did the same thing by mistake (and I was already a subscriber!)--they were very nice about it when I called
to tell them, but it was one more thing for me to remember to do.

I did it when they first changed the entry form, but it was easy to just unsubscribe from their site. I never get junk email/mail from them either, and I've gotten so used to clicking on the link to change the form to the non-subscription one. "Alt =" with Roboform will check all the boxes "No" for you.

This happened to me recently, also. I received a magazine I didn't expect, but I knew I had entered the sweeps for it, so I must have missed a NO button.
All the offers are for a FREE TRIAL anyway, so I just enjoyed an article or two, found a few useful coupons, and when the bill arrived, wrote "CANCEL" on it and sent it back with a clear conscience.
They made the offer, and I (inadvertently) took it!
