Marlboro Triple 7 Essay contest

This is my first time posting to this board and I hope I'm not breaking any rules! I did a search here for the Marlboro sweepstakes Triple 7 essay contest but nothing came up.
Anyways, I think it was back in August that I had received an entry in the mail for an essay contest. I've never entered one before and this one looked great. It was apparently a very limited mailing and you could only enter if you received an entry. Only 4 states are participating-Massachusetts, Michigan, Virginia, and Texas. Grand prize is for 77,700. First prize is an '08 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4 door. And second prize is 7 trips for 2 to the Marlboro sweepstakes Ranch. Anyone else here entered the essay contest?

And one other question that may be weird to some. Has anyone ever have something odd happen before they won or maybe saw "signs?" I know it sounds super weird and I'm not that type of person but the day they were to have the judging, I had gone into a sandwich shop and my total was $7.77! Also, on the same day, my husband saw an ad sign that wasn't there the day before advertising something semi obscure that I had mentioned in my essay. Weird............. :scratch:
 
I didn't get to enter the essay contest ~ wouldn't have mattered, I can't write my way off a piece of paper anyway, but best of luck with it!!! You are fine posting!

About the signs ~ I see signs in alot of things ~ I believe that if you are a sweeper that you almost have to believe in luck, or you wouldn't spend your time at this hobby! I have my "lucky" charms up above my computer that my friends (Trina, Rita, and Kris & and my kids) have sent me ~ and I am always watching for things! I hope it was a good omen for you!!

Yup! Keeping my fingers crossed on this one!! The grand, 1st & 2nd prize winners will be notified by overnight mail on or about the 29th of this month. My anniversary is on the 27th. I told my husband that we should win since the 1st anniversary gift is paper and well.... a check is paper!! :laughing:

Marlboro sweepstakes sweeps are usually limited to those that get a mailing, and you can never find rules online to C&P from, so we usually don't post them.

I was wondering at first why I didn't get a mailing then I saw: Only 4 states are participating-Massachusetts, Michigan, Virginia, and Texas.

If you are from MA, you may be out of luck. MA does not allow any promotion from a tobacco company. Hope you are from one of the other states.

Did they recently decide no tobacco related promos? I'm from Texas so no worries there! :)
 
Then I wonder why Phillip Morris would include that state in their contest listing? Odd. I'm assuming you're in that state?
