MP3 Player TIP

I frequently hear the misconseption on the pbards that Ipods can only be loaded with songs that you get from Apple. This is not true! You can "rip" songs from cds you have and then put them on the ipod, buy from Amazon (a good idea because they are "DRM Free" which mean's they are not locked to any computer/mp3 player/ipod). If you can free downloads from other sites they often can be put on Ipods as well. All the songs do have to be put into Itunes as this is the only (unless you are very techn-savy) way to put them on an Ipod.

Ipods are expensive and there are a lot of other good brands of MP3 players out there (I've heard raves about Zunes and players made by Creative). But in case you win won I don't want people selling them just becasue they think they have to buy all their music from itunes. If you're confused about how to get your music to your ipod I'm sure you can find help on this board or other places on the net.

Happy Sweeping!

I have downloaded all my favorite songs from my cds onto my Shuffle and did some trading to get some off of iTunes, but if you buy off any site I would think that you could download them onto a CD and then load them onto your iPod ~ I don't think it would be a problem!

Thanks for the tips!
