My daughter spent the night with MIL saturday. Well when I picked her up last night. She was coughing, and said her head hurt. Well now she is full fledge sick. Usually she is jumping on the bed, or doing something silly and loud. Right now she is laying on the couch with a wet rag on her head, eating a popsicle and watching spongebob. She looks so sad. Her cheeks are really red. I don't know why, I thought it was because she had slept on it. But its both cheeks, and they are still red. Well if anyone has any advice on getting her better real fast. Or wants to pray for her. She is 4 years old. Oh and she wont eat anything, just popsicles. So I am afraid to give her robtussin. She has had tylenol about 20 mins ago.

Sorry to hear your daughter is sick. I will keep her in my prayers. I am also sick right now coughing.

UhOh Becareful now mixing medicines in tiny children. ( tylenol) with anything . Im sorry she has the flu. Prob best at that age to take her to imed care at your local hospitil wing or doctors wing. Fevers & coughs are nothing to toy around with below 10 years . Sounds like if you dont take her in TIF she could be worse tonight with high fever. Better today than tonight.Poor baby. I HATE to see tots sick. Its heart breaking. You cant do anything for them but WAIT. Med um up & wait. Give her a nice luke warm bath will help her a small tat.Keep a small bag or bowl near incase the popsickle reverses so its not on your furnature. Poor baby

It never hurts to run them past the doc for things like a strep test. Esp. if her skin coloration is abnormal (compared to previous illnesses) or she seems sicker than usual. These days even minor childhood illness can have so many complications-I'm glad I have cats not kids....

Oh, Tiff, I hope she is feeling better. If all she wants is pops, she probably has a sore throat. Take a flashlight and look at it. If she has white spots, make sure you get her in to see a doc.

Tiff ~ make sure to keep a close eye on her temp. It is so easy for such a little one to get chills and want to cover up, but that isn't a good thing. If the Tylenol isn't working well on the temp ~ send out hubby for advil or motrin, but make sure to try to keep it down as best as you can.

If you have to take her to the ER and they say it is a virus or the flu and give her something for her stomach ask for the transdermal promethazine instead. The suppositories are so hard to give to a little one when they are sick, but it would be better than nothing. The trandermal is wonderful ~ they give it to you in a little tube and you just squeeze out a little amount onto their stomachs and rub it in. It has saved mine from being admitted into the hospital several times!

Good luck, and I hope it is just a quick thing and that she is back up and playing for Christmas!!

Hey guys. Well she is doing better. Last night her fever was 100.5 today it was 99.2. I'm keeping an eye on it. Giving her childrens tylenol. She feels alot better. She still has a little cold. But looks alot better then she did. Well merry christmas everyone. Hope you all have a good day :) I know I will.

That sounds pretty good. :) I'm used to kids running temps over 104 and having seizures and all their skin peeling off later (my neice was one scary sickly child LOL!)
