OK, 2 weird things happened yesterday. 1. I found out my cc # has been hacked from the internet. 2. I got a pm from 1south1 warning me to stay away from my local mall, Tanger Outlet. I replied and asked how do you know me and where I live? I never got an answer. The status was just SA member. Not new, bronze, silver, etc. WTH is going on? It seems odd both happened the same day. Maybe I am overreacting. I don't know. Can any mods or anybody shed any consoling light on this? I'm all creeped out, maaaaannnnnn. :cry: :scratch:

Please go into your profile and check your information. Please make sure the hide your e-mail box is checked and that you have a general location listed instead of a specific town.

I once had this happen to me at another sweeps site. The guy tracked me down and called me. I changed my user name...

It's best to stay as anonymous as possible in the forums.

Any dishonest person who has access to any of your information, whether online or retail store, can fraudulently use any of your information. A couple of months ago, someone charged $265.00 worth of makeup from Belgium on our credit card.

That is also one way some people are probably getting magazine subscriptions. Some bored nutcase with access to names and addresses filling out subscription forms just for the fun of it.
 
I'm sorry you're getting freaky PMs...Somebody called me a while back from another sweeps forum-the freaky thing was, they called my cousin with the same name first and woke her up and she had no idea what they were talking about-plus she is Black which must've been confusing for them :laughing:. Now she is sweeping some (we had to talk about the whole hobby thing when she called to ask about the phone call and she got interested when she found out people really do win-she recently won bread :crazytongue:) but she thinks all sweepstakes people are crazy.
If anybody wants to harass me, don't call her, she needs her sleep. :crazytongue:
 
:whistle: Another freaky thing people are doing-stalking their fellow sweepers onto ebay and reporting them to the JAs for selling prizes. I know everybody does not agree with selling prizes-as far as I'm concerned ,if you've won it you can use it, sell it, throw it away or turn it into modern art with a blow torch, its your win. :cheers: So please make sure your ebay name is different from any name you use on sweeps sites. Also people will put up fake bad ebay feedback. There are some real acrimonious people in the sweeping universe, watch your back. And your front... :nono:
 
I know of someone who actually had another sweepstakes site member show up at their house. Luckily, that person wasn't home (a note was left) and the police were notified and the person told to stay away.
 
That is to scary!!

You know, it is like telling someone what to do with money that they have won ~ it is noone's business. Everyone may not like every prize offered in a sweeps, but that doesn't mean they don't want to win!! Live and Let Live!!!
 
:scratch: Im telling you all its that same woman/company scam artist that did that to me that all went huh?When I first signed up here. She kept doing that same weird stuff to me with emails in differant emails . She had my address & telephone So Im not out of my mind or over reacting.Now I have to block my emails messages because this person cant control themselves? and watch my credit card .I really thought she was par6t of SA or I would of never opened her fake SA mails.

It could be a real sweeps stalker who never received her prize or just a bored housewife or a real LIVE scammer or some IDIOT from Hong Kong trying to steal info. All up. They are NOT stealing our FUN. We wont let THEM it HER him . In all my years online I never thought SA would have a GHOST . I changed my name ONLY because I had email & alot of info showing . You all know who I am & how to reach me .No wonder KEN is SO quiet... Hes scared of the SA ghost... You know something, you really aren't off at all on that one. Since the government has been messing more and more with students' thinking processes (attitudes and behaviors) through their mandated programs, we've clearly have been having more and more problems with "nutcases"! :popcorn: :whistle:
 
:cussing: Whoever it is VA or LOOSERVILE is a :whistle: Now this poor ladee has had to change her credit card number ,Change her identity online and change her emails which are her PERSONALITY and shes prob had for years. I think its really SAD.
 
Its weird for me just having to change user names. I don't have hair, no less red hair :crazytongue: I can't imagine having to change everything if you had a bunch of stuff like myspace and ebay and everything....
 
I think it's sad. I have a real life stalker but, that is an entirely different situation. She follows me around online and I know her personally. She doesn't scare me, just ticks me off and she does it only because, she is now 2000 miles away from me. She didn't do this when I was there, she is too scared of me to do it in person. I threatened to file charges on her the last time and told her she better not cross my path when I visit home in CA. sometime.

Some people have no life, they are so worried about what others are doing instead of priorities in they're lives. As for selling prizes, that is no one's business. I sell and trade prizes I don't use for extra cash we might need at the time. I give a lot away too and put them up for gifts. This is the #1 reason I won't post about winning a big prize until received, too many nosey, jealous people out there.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is still doing it, but my ex was checking up on me and following me around on the internet to see if he could get anything on me. Yeh, right!! :laughing: You would think after being with someone now for 3+ years now he would stop being vendictive and using my children to get even. Just throw him in with the rest of the nutcases.
