New Grandson having problems

I posted on the 5th about my new grandson, but it was during the time that didn't show up in this new forum. Dayton came a couple weeks early, but seemed ok. My son just called to say he is having some problems. He hasn't had a bowel movement and they have inserted a tube into his tummy. They have done some Xrays and suspect some sort of blockage. They are waiting for another doc to come out of surgery for a 2nd opinion. I keep praying that the little guy will be ok. They are talking about doing some surgery on him. My son is suppose to call again as soon as they know something.
Would appreciate all your prayers right now for the little Dayton. Thank you all.

Will keep you all in my prayers. Those little fellows are way tougher than we like to think so I just know everything will be fine.

Pam, I am so sorry your grandson is having a difficult time. I will keep him and your family in my prayers. I hope this turns out to be minor and that the whole family is home together soon.

Thank you all so much. My son just called again. They are in the process of transporting Dayton from the local hospital to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. They have a some kind of special ambulance setup for newborns to transport, so that is good. Looks like it is going to be a long night.
I told my son that I have you all praying for them and he said to thank you all very much. It is much appreciated.

I wanted to check back in before I went to bed to see if you had any more news. You and your family will be in my prayers tonight.

Pam,

I will be keeping you and your family in my prayers. If you need me just let me know!

I just said a prayer for the little babe and will keep him and your family in my daily prayers.

Everything will be alright ~ you just hang in there and try not to worry.

Thoughts, prayers and good wishes for you, your family and your grandson. Hopefully everything will turn out well, as there are many loving experts in the field of neonatal care, and lots of support and silent prayers from SA.

:sunny:Thank you all so much. You guys are the greatest. You're prayers are working. He is doing alot better now that he is in Kalamazoo. My son says that he is getting excellent care and feels relieved. They said they are going to keep him for 7 to 10 days just to keep a close eye on him. He is having bowel movements on his own now, so that is a very good sign.
My son tells me that he is the most beautiful baby he has ever seen. So of course, I had to tell him that I knew he had to be as all my grandbabies are beautiful as they take after their grandma!

I'm SO glad to hear the baby is doing better!!! I am a true believer in the power or prayer!

I am certain the baby will continue to improve and I will continue praying.

I am sure he is just beautiful!!!! :sunny:

Pam,

That's great news. I am so happy things are improving for your little grandson. I am glad they are keeping him to be safe. I know it is hard on your son, but, you can't be too careful with the preemies.

Please keep us posted. I'll keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

:sunny: Another great update. They have taken the tubes out! He is still hooked to monitors and an IV but is doing so much better. Thank you for all the wonderful prayers!

I'm so glad to hear the good news. I've been keeping a very close eye on this thread so I can keep up with the new baby. Those little boogers will scare you won't they. Maybe he just needed a little while to get with the program of being in this mean old world. He will stay in our thoughts and prayers as will the whole family :sunny:

Thats wonderful. Im so happy he is doing better. I hope and pray it will continue so the little guy can go home. Thanks for keeping us posted.
