Hello to all! I am new to SA and feel like I am getting addicted already. I have only been entering my name in the sweeps with the big prizes though. Do people really win on these sites? Ex. Cars, big cash prizes, etc.. Or should I get my head out of the clouds? Thanks everyone!

I think you'll find a variety of answers to your question....some have been playing for quite awhile and have never won "the big one" and there are others who seem to win something rather large after a very short time of sweeping.....as Im sure others will tell you, theres really no "secret" to winning.....the majority of it is just "luck" and if you are persistant and enter enough, the wins come. I have been sweeping for about 8 years (more seriously in the past 5 or so) and have won a ton of small items (movie tickets, $100 gift cards, ipods, airline tickets, etc) and I have also won $10,000 from iwon about 3 years ago, and this year I won a $10,000 college scholarship from the Coca Cola instant win game. I dont think I sweep nearly as much as some other people---only about 2-3 hours 5 days a week---but I win enough stuff to make it fun and to keep me addicted.

I mostly only enter sweeps with travel/trip prizes and a few other odd-ball sweeps, so I don't expect to win very much. (I do 30-50 daily entry, 10-20 instant-win entry, and 4-5 new one entry listings per day. That's all.) I have never won anything nice (or otherwise) on ANY daily, just on one-entry contests. I got my first big win after 4 months (Australia MAR07 $33,000.00) and then had to wait another 2 years (Miami MAR09 $9,000.00) for the next one.
I only get to post about winning something 6-8 times a year ... But, all-in-all, I think that just over 45 grand in 3 years isn't so bad. (it would take a whole lot of Pace and Mickey D coupons to add up to that! :crazytongue: and it takes me a whole lot less time!)
Besides, since I am not entering 2-3,000 contests a day (like some crazy folks here) I have plenty of time to write witty posts, design custom avatars, and run strange obnoxious MOCs!!!
