Look what I found, isn't he precious?! He was in a bucket with 2 others at walmart earlier and I just couldn't resist. I was going to take him to one of hubby's cousins house since his dog was recently ran over but, I just don't know if I want to give him up! He is just a perfect little guy and will be 6 weeks old this week.

I am not suppose to have any animals in my house but, ssshhhhh he is staying in my laundry room until I figure out where I can put him. Right now dh is holding him, the puppy is sleeping.

I have to get rid of Shallow (the stray) because, he has been chewing on the house boards and digging HUGE holes all over the property. My landlord doesn't want him here, he is ok with Duke (our pit/boxer) but, I don't know how he is going to react to the puppy. Gosh I hope he doesn't say the puppy has to go, I already fell in love with him.

Wish me luck! I still need to name him, get him shots, etc. and I want to spay him when I am able to.

awww hes too cute. Good luck!!

Kailey and rocky really want a puppy. But I'm allergic to them. The good thing is this house we cant have a dog or cat in. So I'm safe for now. If we ever get our own house, I guess they are going to exchange me for a puppy

 That pup sure looks like a winner to me! What a cutie!
Tiff we have a hypoallergenic dog! It's a Chinese Crested Powderpuff. I am sure if they decide to trade you in on a puppy and you go online you will find others that are hypoallergenic and won't bother your allergies. Ours is also shedless!

Oh...I am in love also! That pup looks like a Nipsy to me! Just adorable! I hope someone was with the bucket they were in???

lol We will see.

Sorry for not replying sooner, my hands have been full today with the puppy, dinner, the kids, and everything else!

Someone brought me a huge (calf or pig size kennel) to sleep in for now. The kids have been playing with him all day, he loves the room we have in the yard. We are spoiling him rotton already, lol. Anyhoo, the person who brought me the kennel said that he looks more like Golden Retriever than lab, I can't tell myself. Hubby says no, he is a lab.

Neuter is what I should have said other than spay earlier, lol. I already gave the rundown

*NO human scraps
*NO bones someone brings from the butcher and cooks (Full of beef or pork)
*No over feeding, make sure he has plenty of water if I don't see his bowl first
*No this, no that, lol.

I put up a huge sign out front for Shallow. Duke is not taking to this puppy yet but, shallow hasn't messed with him. He would if we left him alone long enough though.

His poo looks solid which is good, no worms or anything. He was the largest of the pups and seemed the healthiest. I need to make some calls because, Duke and the puppy are due for shots and then all 3 are due for heartworm pills (An awesome member here sent me plenty of those to use).

Update on the new puppy AND our stray!

We finally named him today, I couldn't figure out a good name and I loved the name "Jessie" but, no one else did so we decided to name him "Dexter" and this has to have come from the show I watch on sundays about a serial killer named Dexter, lol.

Anyways, landlord knows he is here now. He came to pick up rent and mow a neighbors lawn the other day and seemed ok with it. I think seeing the kennel helped but, sshhhhh puppy has been sleeping with me at night (not suppose to have animals in the house). I couldn't stand hearing him crying! He does like to spend time in the kennel here and there but, we leave the door open so that he can come and go as he pleases.

He is doing well but, his bowels are kind of runny and I think it's because, of the food we started giving him. I am taking my $5 IAMS coupons tomorrow and picking him some up. I am trying to teach him that biting and chewing is not ok. This is a chore! I try to replace other objects or human body parts with a bunny which he loves playing with. I am getting him a chew toy tomorrow as well as a rawhide bone.

I tried walking him on a leash, he wasn't too thrilled with it just yet but, I have to keep trying. He LOVES being outside so I just leave the door opened and watch him, he has a spot next to my steps that he loves sleeping in during the day. My big problem is going to be when this storm hits. I don't know how I am going to take him out to potty. I hope it doesn't set him back in his training.

Update on Shallow, we might have found a home! A man my neighbor knows wants a large dog and was going to go and see if they have any at his local pound. She told him all about Shallow and he is coming today before the storm hits to check him out. I hope he takes him, he lives at the lake in a cabin and sounds like he would be a good person to Shallow. He already talked about "One on one" care with him since he was abused by his prior owners. It will be a little sad seeing him go, he is very loyal to me and a all in all decent dog. I just have to choose between a home or him and I have to choose my home. I wish his owners were good to him and never abandoned him.
