Peta contests

Just curious if anyone from SA has ever been a winner in any of the Peta contests? I have been entering them for a long time and have yet to snag a win.....

I'm very interested in this as well because I do not remember any wins from Peta being posted anywhere , but then I have a brain like a sieve!

I think I've seen a couple but, I personally avoid them no matter how tempting the prize is. I have thought about breaking down and entering but, they have been known to spam you once you enter. I'd like to know if this is true or if I'm missing out on potential prizes.

I haven't gotta emails from them....although i just run searches for key terms in that email box. However i do get a lot of snail mail from them which is irritating becuase I"m really trying to cut down on junk mail because i care about the environment.

And isn't it awful that conservation or environmental groups like The Serra club send out so much mail

I enter the PETA contests and I feel guilty because I belong to the OTHER Peta- People Eating Tasty Animals. Peta wouldn't want to hand over their prize to me!

I will not enter the Peta contests because of some of the questionable behavior of the group. Have you ever seen any of the comic books they print targeted for kids?! I do not have an issue with a group sharing their beliefs and trying to convince others, but when it gets to be borderline brainwashing/scare tactics aimed at kids, that I do have a problem with. My daughter signed up with them several years ago and I could not believe some of the stuff they sent to her.

As for eating meat, wild animals eat other animals, how can nature be wrong?

I also refuse to enter any PETA contests.

And PETA2 is the worst of the bunch. The junk they send you is absolutely, utterly repulsive.

I am a proud card-carrying member of PETA3006 (People for the Eating of Tasty Animals shot with a 30-06 rifle).
