When you are using a site that is geared toward advertising of certain types of products- i.e., a beauty site, or a Mom's site, or a travel site....whichever, and they have many contests going on. Just a question- Does anyone know if they commonly or most often would limit a person to ONE win if they actually may have come up as a winner on say two contests? Just curious. I know it is optimistic to think of winning two contests on one site, let alone one, but I have been wondering? Anyone with knowledge or experience with this?

It depends on the sponsor. If they have a limit or a restriction, they should make mention of it in the rules.

The place I see multiple win limits spelled out most often are in the local sweeps, like the stuff on radio/tv stations that target a specific location. Because the pool of contestants is smaller, your odds of being the 15th caller or being pulled for their local sweeps are much greater, and they usually put quantity and time limits on when you can be eligible to win something again from them.

Most online sites, even those that run several sweeps running concurrently all the time, seem to treat each sweep as it's own separate entity and don't penalize you for having won previously. But again, check the rules.

bethtoons, I really appreciate your response and input. The site I am talking about seems big, and I have looked over the rules, and there seem to be no mention of winning one, two, or limitless contests. I guess if they didn't like a "double winner", they might make up the rules as they go...I just thought maybe someone had seen this happen along the way, where they either had to choose one prize or another -or- (worse yet) the decision between prizes was made for them. Hopefully, they would just let you have both. However, you never know....thinking maybe others would feel the contests were not legitimate if one person won two contests.
Maybe I am getting too deep! LOL

:sunny: Without knowing what sweeps you are referring to the only way to know would be to red the rules for each sweepstakes..

Thanks, pmeek. I don't think I'll worry about it. I did read as many rules as were there to read and it doesn't mention that.
