Have any of you tried using Craig's List to sell unwanted wins???

I have been fairly lucky there with selling my wins :)

Just don't over-price your items and you may be surprised at the hits you can get there!!

Just a thought.......... :)

I've never even been on Craig's list...might need to give it a look sometime, huh???

I can't do Craigslist. I think it's dealing with strangers that creeps me out. I'd rather stick it in a box and send it on its way. What can I say? I'm a bit antisocial. I hide when the doorbell rings.

We tried selling some pit bull puppies for a friend one time using Craig's List. The creepos came out like cockroaches! One guy asked me if I was willing to pose with the pups in various positions. Another one asked me if I could antagonize the pups to make them mad. He wanted to see their teeth. And then you have the scammers who want to pay you 3 times what we were asking for a pup so that I would be dumb enough to send him back the rest in american money.

Needless to say I don't attempt to sell anything on Craig's List anymore but I do like checking to see what they have so, I say go for it

WoW!! I have had nothing but positive feedback from craigs list...I only post there right in my surrounding area...Fairly tight knit where we are located...Not too many creeps where I reside apparently

Matter of fact I just now today sold another unwanted win there and have the $$ in hand :headbang:

Actually I have made out better there with the so-called strangers than trying to swap/trade at different forums :)

I also put up for sale posts on the bulletin boards at work and have had some good luck there as well :)

We live in an extremely small town. CL doesn't have an area for us so we have to check out the closest city which happens to be a HUGE city.

I tried selling on craigslist and I had only scammers contact me. I have heard both good and bad stories.

speaking of craigslist, it was a life saver today.
My mom called me freaking out. She told me our dog was missing. (our dog is really old 13 years old). Well she wanted me to come look for it. So I drove over. My mom was outside looking for him. I got out looked around for like 5 mins. I thought to myself, this is stupid, hes probably dead or something. Well I got the brillant idea to look on craigslist, maybe post a lost ad. Well I looked in lost and found. And guess what there was a found dog, right by my moms neighborhood. I quickly called the number. A lady answered, I told her I think she found my dog. I told her he was big, and looked like the color pepper (lolthats his name) and that he was old, his legs shake. She was like yes! I was so excited. She told me that he was such a sweetheart. She said she was driving by, and he was running around in the rain and lighting, dodging cars, and looked so freaked out. She called to him, and he jumped into her car. She took him home, and gave him food, and a bed to sleep in.
Well they ended up bringing him back to my moms house. Pepper seemed to not want to leave those people. I guess he was real confused still. Hes not acting like himself. So I guess the storm really freaked him out.
Its sad though, because "us kids" me, sister, and bro all moved out. We used to take care of him. My parents are getting to old and busy to take care of him anymore.
But I told the lady if she ever wanted to see him, she could. Just email us. She was happy. She seemed to really like him, she was talking about how is teeth are so clean, etc so she knew he had a home. U could tell she was a "dog" lover.
But yea I have had some good things with craigslist, and some bad. (we wont mention the bad) just that I have met alot of people on craigslist, and my mom is always scared I will be one of those girls that end up on the news dead, from meeting people on craigslist.
I guess I'm kind of stupid when it comes to some things. One time I saw a post for a bunch of free kids stuff. It was like 10 oclock at night. Well my husband wouldn't come with me. So I went myself. Went to thier house, it was dark, they had lights outside, but I went through there stuff. Found a bunch of cool things. But still that could have been dangerous. :nono:

I've learned though. Now if I'm going to go somewhere I tell people, and makesure to do it in the daytime, usually go with my husband.

Great dog story – I am so glad it had a happy ending. You are right Craig’s List is like life; full of good and bad, you just have to keep your eyes open and use your brain.
