On Oct 22nd I received this email. I think I had entered from another site:Congratulations! You have been selected to attend Nature’s special presentation on animal architecture. The presentation will be held Tuesday, November 17th at the Tisch WNET studios at Lincoln Center, located at the corner of West 66th and Broadway.Your selection includes seating for you and a guest to attend Nature’s special presentation on animal architecture. When confirming, please let us know if you plan to bring a guest. The program will begin at 6:30. Plan to arrive at 6:00 to allow time for seating. I declined the win as it did not cover travel and I would not have been able to arrange time off.

I have won several books from LibraryThing and GoodReads. I have won so many this month that I am becoming more choosy as to the which book giveaways I enter. They give them away with the hopes of an honest book review. I feel I owe them that review and only have time to read so many books. I do plan to give some away and had others in mind when I entered as well.

Yesterday I won 5000 points yes 5000 and not 500 on ShopYourWay instant win along with another 1000 points. That made up for a dry October on ShopYourWay.

I have had some small wins too, I won a five dollar gift code on Pagoda IW. And a glass and bottle opener from Bud Light Sweepstakes.

Today I received this message: Last month you entered your name into our contest giveaway for four lifetime membership passes to AmericasFootprints.com. Though your name wasn't drawn for the main giveaway, I wanted to let you know that it was one of a few other names we randomly selected for our single Momento membership package!
So first and foremost, congratulations Heather! Because your name was chosen, we would like to give you a lifetime Momento Footprint package to AmericasFootprints.com - 100% completely free.Simply follow these instructions to setup your account. This is a neat win and I plan to take advantage of it.

I have read some of the posts on SweepstakesAdvantage for newbies and I learning quite a lot. At first I entered everything because I just wanted to win something. Now I see I can win. I am starting to think, Do I want it? what would I do with it? I also feel a responsibility to the Sponsor of the Sweeps. I sign up for their newsletters and if I tire of them then I unsubscribe but will never report at spam. I have thoroughly enjoyed this new hobby but am going to slow down a little. I have done it lately to the exclusion of exercise etc. Life needs balance.

I was called for Jury duty and was not picked. I found it interesting watching the Clerk of Court draw the names from the box and related it to my sweeps. I did not get picked. Today I was glad.

If anyone has the patience to read this entire post to the end I would love to hear back from some veterans about previous big wins. Has anyone won a vehicle, boat, snowmobile etc? Regular sweepers do you eventually win that tablet or video game or blender or do you end up purchasing eventually? Just curious and you can start a new post with the answers if that would be easier.

I did want to add that SweepstakesAdvantage has become the only site I enter from. I paid for plus membership and it is worth it. I am able to organize my sweeps and the posts are informational and I appreciate the positive attitude and support to others offered on this site.

I have been sweeping for years and have won a fabulous trip to Orlando, $100's of gift cards to various stores, food, clothing even tickets to the World cup soccer quarter finals that I sold for $2000 just last year. I am still waiting for another trip, car, trailer or big one!! and feel its possible if you just kind of sit back and have patience. Good luck, and yes, you do have a tendency to enter everything at first so now I definitely only enter ones that I know I want and could use.

As a winner of $15,000.00 from Dekuyper Bump Up Your Party Instant Win, (see my post in the Hall of Fame $3,000.00 and Up thread) I agree with you. I enter sweeps many times with others in mind, but when one comes that I could really use, I am grateful. May times I have won gifts that ended up being presents for others. I have a totally separate email address for sweeps and email sign ups, I go through them about once every two months or so and unsubscribe to the ones I don't want to read anymore, (or the sweeps have ended and I did not win anything).

This year I have gathered gifts for all my co workers with out have to spend anything, for this I am very happy. Wishing you much luck in the future!!!

Congrats on your wins hope you get many more. I have been at it for years used to enter just to see it I could win, won lots of cash, gift cards, trips and stuff seems like it was easier to win then, now I enter only for thing I can use or want if an affy is involved unless it's cash I consider the tax liability. It's a fun hobby!

Congratulations on your wins! Sweeping is a fun hobby and over the years I have won many prizes but my biggest was a Trip to Charlotte, NC for a Nascar race! I love to win but only enter for things I can use or my family would use. When I want a specific item I give myself a few months to try to win it and then if i don't win it I buy it. This usually works because by that time the item is discounted or on sale or I realize I don't really need it. Good Luck !

I really like your post! Sweeping can open up a world that might never be possible for a lot of people. Well lets face it practically all people, I mean who gets a gift card for example in the mail for just spending time on sweeps?
Sweeping is simple and that's why I love it.
The more you enter the more you will win !!! I read forums and comments too generally they are very helpful! I spend about 5 hours sweeping each day but I really feel I need to do more. When I can't use a prize I offer it to family or you could possibly donate it somewhere. My life would be very boring w/out sweeps! Yay for all the sponsors and SA too they are very generous:) Just keep at it. I take breaks but I keep at sweeping generally. GLA! :D Sweeping has little cost involved & the potential for rewards are good if you try hard.

I have always been entering things on and off for most of my life, but never consistently until about five years ago. Like you, at first, I would enter just about everything, but that became way too time consuming and often produce wins for things I couldn't use, wouldn't use or nobody I knew wanted. So I dialed it back completely and have been very successful. I've always had good luck and winning just comes easy for me, so sweeping is a good fit for me. I spend about 2 hours a day, but try not to make it too much of a routine and often skip days or do other things. In other words, I don't take it too seriously. I like to keep it fun so I remain passionately joyful about it when entering and I still get excited like a little kid when winning and often when I'm entering, especially if I'm super excited about the prize. On average, I win about $50K a year or more in prizes. I've won all sorts of trips, electronics, furniture, gift cards and cash prizes. My biggest cash prize so far was $25,000. I just got back from a 3 week trip that I won and while I was on that trip I got a call that I won another Grand Prize for a trip next spring. This year alone, I have been on three trips that I won with approximate value of $22,000. One of the trips I took gave me $2000 in AMEX gift cards that were never mentioned in the rules at all. They decided to add it to make sure I had a good time. In other words, you just never know what you're going to get. Keep an open heart and open mind and be grateful and you will win big. Good luck!
