 Its just bizarre. I did enjoy it though. it was entertaining.

Have you seen Neverwhere (by same author). Cheap BBC production but man is it good considering. Neil is one strange dude...

No but I did find it online and added it to my watch list.

I watched Fame(1980) last night~ B ~ .. I havent seen this movie in 20 years. What a flashback it was. Its still a great movie all these years later.

The Crew~ B ~ British. The plot~ As a major heist approaches and with betrayal all around him, a respected crime boss has to summon all his street nous and killer instinct as he fights for survival

Great movie. Good acting, a couple of really nice looking guys, interesting characters and some action. Its not heavy on action but more story oriented. I would give this movie an A but it has a few too many sex scenes it in for my taste. Most are just gratuitous. They say the F word a lot. More than any other British movie I have seen and I have seen a lot of them. It doesn't bother me, pulp fiction is my favorite movie after all and they say it a lot, but it may bother some. Also, the accents can be a little hard to understand at times if you aren't used to them.

Its worth seeing if you like these types of movies. Its one of the better ones I have seen.

Land of the lost~ C ~ This is NOT my type of movie so I didn't have high expectations before going to the drive in. I really only wanted to watch the second movie star trek again. It has a few laughs, only a few. The dialogue will appeal to adolescent boys more than anyone. The only reason im not giving it a D is because of Danny McBride, I like him. Most of his lines fell flat too but he tried. ugh. Well at least I got to watch star trek again.

Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus~ for bad movie fans~ B ~ for everyone else ~F like the name says its about a mega shark and a giant octopus. they both get "unfrozen" after millions of years and go on an eating rampage. Its very comical. The dialogue is so cheesy and the acting so horrid its great. I LMAO. There is one scene in particular that made the whole movie worth watching for me.. SPOILER**

The giant shark jumps out of the ocean and attacks a plane. It pretty much bites the plane in half and it goes down. not kidding. now im no aviator but im pretty sure planes fly high up in the air. high enough that a shark no matter how large and agile could jump out of the ocean and eat it.

Deathwatch~ B ~ plot~ In 1917 a small group of British soldiers find an enemy German trench. They capture one soldier and he tells them that the trench is evil and that they will all die... It was good. It had a very creepy atmosphere. It takes a little while to get going but is worth it. It has a nice, somewhat confusing, twist in the end.

The plot isnt new but it is well done. I will be buying this.

Gran Torino~ A ~ Since I love all things Clint its no surprise I give this movie an A. This was one of the best movies I saw last year so of course I had to get it when it came out of DVD. Plot~ A grouchy Koren War vet(clint) becomes friends with his Hmong neighbors and becomes a much nicer person  The racist language may offend some.

The International~ C ~ Im a huge fan of Clive Owen but this movie was a stinker. Plot~ An Interpol agent attempts to expose a high-profile financial institution's role in an international arms dealing ring. uh huh.. Its way more convoluted than that. The acting is good and it does have some pretty good action scenes but the ending was awful. Its worth a one time watch if you have nothing else to do.

Ive been busy... actually I guess its just the opposite. Busy as in sitting on my butt watching movies.

Blindness~ F ~ It starts with one man suddenly going blind, no explanation is ever given and the man doesn't really seem that upset  and, apparently its contagious. The films main focus is on the first groups of people who are put into quarantine. Not put into quarantine with medical help and supplies noooo.. pretty much just dumped and made to fend for themselves. This is where it really gets ridiculous. Now I dont doubt that people thrown into a situation like this would behave badly but I have a problem with main characters that are all so weak and stupid. I pretty much spent the entire movie cussing at the tv. I can only tolerate a few moments of what? why would they do that? why dont they do...? after about the 100th time im angry and feel like the movie is insulting my intelligence. In addition to that the ending is ambiguous.

The cry~ F ~ A detective is working the case of several missing children and women suddenly killing their children. Turns out its some kind of supernatural thing. Thats about all I can tell ya because I shut it off after an hour. horrible acting, stupid plot, and it made me dizzy with the flashbacks, dream sequences and hallucinations. :nono:

Dark secrets aka Cold earth
~ F ~ a famous couples daughter is kidnapped and inept police are on the case. another one with terrible acting and plot that shifts back and forth and makes no sense whatsoever. I turned it off after an hour.

Doubt~ B ~ A nun suspects that a priest has been molesting one of the students. She has no proof whatsoever other than her gut and goes after him. Its wonderfully acted by both streep and hoffman. Its a really good drama I was impressed. This is another one with an ambiguous ending. Did he do it? I don't know.
